Mojang has released details for the Minecraft Exploration update 1.11, with no exact release window for the update known at this time.

Gaming trends are so weird to me now. Like, I’m old school and games were consumed essentially how movies were. You play through a title and look forward to the sequel or other things that came out. Now, that is so not the norm.

Make the villagers look different, add an opposite dimension to the Nether, random events like tornadoes, floods, UFOs etc, get some mechanical things included along with oil you can find underground, add decoration things like wallpaper and house objects. I could go on.
I know it was a 2D side scroller but at least when you waited a while for a Terraria update you knew you were in for a treat.
Honestly this game need a new dimension. Nether and The End is great and all but they're very limited. It would be cool in fact if they used the aether mod and make it a part of the update while also letting you live up top. It would add a whole new experience. New creatures and animals up there and could possible add some cool stuff to do up there.
