Don M was an idiot. I don't know why they hired that guy. I still wish they had kept Ed Fries. The XB1 would have had a lot more exclusives then whats currently on the system.

It's in the same exact spot.
-XB1 is stil in second place
-It still gets constant free game promotions and/or price cuts.(due to low sales)
-It still has that shitty Windows 10 interfaced forced on it

Nothing has changed at all. The XB1 itself is in the same exact position in this market since it was at launch. Maybe your opinion of it has changed?

I don't think Xbox was a sinking ship at all, it just had a horrible pre-launch period that gave PS4 a global free pass as the console to buy. XBO still had a great launch, but sales dropped more so because of the price, performance in comparison to PS4, and PS4 overall hype than anything.

It had a rocky start, but it wasn't a sinking ship, if anything that was the Wii U & Vita.

I kind of get where you're coming from, but that's not 100% true. I don't think Phil really did much of anything that any logical gamer/person would have done, focus on games, remove mandatory Kinect, and make cheaper SKUs (there are countless blogs on here detailing the same strategy before XBO launch and right after).

I don't think TV talk was a bad idea either, the problem was 90% of their reveal was TV, Sports, and COD. Yes we all knew it would play games, and E3 would show games, but your first impression is everything and MS failed there.

What I do think changed of the perception of the console. At one point XBO was getting booed for simply being mentioned, and now it's finally accepted as a good console, or at worse decent among non-fans.

The Windows 10 update is fine, although there are some things I don't like personally, but overall it's good.

Like what Phil said he was also part of what made made the Xbox sink. There is no before and after because he was always there.
