In the case of Pharaonic, I stared at the screen and gave up, but not because I couldn’t think of something clever…although for the record, I couldn’t. Actually, I’ve been contemplating why I spent most of my time playing the game more frustrated than having fun, and how that should alter my score, if it should at all. Pharaonic bills itself as an “unforgiving” action RPG inspired by Dark Souls, and after dying more often than Super Mario under the control of your grandmother “playing Nintendo” for the first time, I absolutely believe the developer when they claim that.
The box art has been revealed for the physical release of Pharaonic Deluxe Edition on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Now though Pharaonic is hitting back - with a fully boxed Deluxe Edition which brings some lovely extras."
Pete from TVG writes "I’m struggling to recall any other console games set in the pre-Christian middle east era ? That is exactly where Pharaonic sits, around 1000 year BC,in Egypt and the times of the Pharaohs, and it’s pleasing to find a niche era I didn’t realize I wanted to play!"
