This I think is fantastic, it should allow Microsoft to get a rather reasonable presence into VR for lower price point, on a software and game pad hardware level. Gear VR is supported by Samsung of course and can access the Oculus online Store.
Making Xbox one controller support for the VR HMD is a real benefit. More game developers making Games may now include the game pad as a standard control mechanism.👍 👍 up for both

Im glad because the samsung controller sucks. Can't wait to use my Xbox One pad.
Now all they need to do is allow all 3 HMD(Gears ,Vive, Oculus) to work with Xbox Scorpio at release .
