5 Must-Have Games This Fall

These are 5 Must-Have Games this fall that span almost every console and are both exclusives and multi-platform titles with this generation finally on track, although Microsoft dominates in the exclusive department this year with Forza, Dead Rising, Gears, ReCon, and others. Here's to hoping for Horizon Zero Dawn!

This is a great time to be a gamer. So many great games coming out in the next three months.

guywazeldatatt3522d ago

I'm interested in FF XV. I hope it revitalizes the franchise.

guywazeldatatt3522d ago

lots of great games. I'm already listed for 3 xbox exclusives for the holidays.

lifeistranger3522d ago

Horizon Zero Dawn being delayed was a huge blow to Sony. It has Zelda potential.

guywazeldatatt3522d ago

eh Zelda is going to destroy. sorry.

Kalebninja3522d ago

Word, it looks good but its doesnt look anything like a Zelda game and it definitely won't be as popular.

nottfadeaway3522d ago

it'll be good but it just doesn't compare to Zelda

hirobrotagonist3522d ago

Yeah but how many people own Wiis as opposed to people owning ps4s...

OB1Biker3522d ago (Edited 3522d ago )

A huge blow to Sony...
That's some hyperbole.

Edit
@nott
I don't agree and this article is actually wrong. Sony actually dominates in the exclusive department with all the PSVR games. If anything, with PS4 Slim, PSVR, PS4Pro and all the games I have no doubt if a company takes a blow it's certainly not Sony. Now I don't really care that much and I can't wait for Mafia 3 first thing.

nottfadeaway3522d ago

It is kind of true. There are almost no exclusives. There will be and the VR is coming out I guess. Microsoft has a killer lineup for this year.

EpicSandwich3522d ago

Psvr games how disappointing. Pay to play tech demo's 😥

guywazeldatatt3522d ago

Horizon Zero Dawn will kill it. Pre-orders are already crazy

DigitalRaptor3519d ago

@ nottfadeaway

Wrong. PS4 has more exclusives than any other platform holder this holiday season and that is thanks to PSVR. In addition to The Last Guardian and Gravity Rush 2. I think what you mean to say is that Microsoft has a killer lineup for the last 3 months of 2016, not "this year".

@ EpicSandwich

You're right, PSVR comes with a demo disc, but there are also games for it.
I doubt you even name me 5 PSVR games off hand, so yeah..... you're delusional as always.

EpicSandwich3522d ago

Doubt it. These guys made Killzone which was mediocre at best

The 10th Rider3522d ago

Mediocre is a bit overboard . . . But I see where you're coming from. They've made good games, but have yet to really make something truly incredible (outside of visually.) Don't get me wrong, I am certainly impressed by Horizon, but the devs history the one thing that has me worried. I guess I'd say I'm cautiously optimistic and expecting a 8.5-9, but wouldn't be shocked by an 8 or so. This gen in general has seen a lot more letdowns than pleasant surprises.

DigitalRaptor3519d ago

1) Killzone 2 & 3 both fantastic games (91 / 84 metascores respectively), so this team alone has what it takes.

2) You're in for a rude awakening, when you realise the story is written by the guy who did Fallout: New Vegas, they have folks who previously worked at Bethesda and CD Projekt Red on the project.

You're only continuing to prove how ill-informed your opinions are.

miyamoto3521d ago

LoL!
TLOZ ALTTP was delayed too but certainly not a blow to Nontendo.
Gamers these days.....

gears looks like the best game this fall/holiday. plus horde mode is back. just sick.

nottfadeaway3522d ago

fair point. FF could revitalize the franchise. I'm not a microsoft guy really.

Nu3522d ago

Gears 4 went into the right hands. I wonder if we'll see a Gears RTS down the line.

miyamoto3521d ago

You mean that The Last of Us Gears?

DigitalRaptor3519d ago

Without the quality voice acting and performances?

Kalebninja3522d ago

XV and Watch Dogs 2 are my most anticipated fall games.

nottfadeaway3522d ago

I need to get the copy of watch dogs for this gen. I had the ps3 version. it was fun but i have too large of a backlog.

nottfadeaway3522d ago

I saw it at E3 it was sick. It's so much more than a sandbox gangster game. I'm so pumped.

So many good games this holiday. Only Zelda would make it complete but I'm glad these other games have their time to shine.

stonecold33522d ago (Edited 3522d ago )

wwe 2k17 last guardian rise of tomb raider call of duty ff15 world of ff watch dogs 2 bf1 kh 2.8 hd remake

nottfadeaway3522d ago

RotTR came out last year, but not a bad list, though I'd take out KH 2.8. WWE is a preference thing; I have my pleasures like that too. ;)

Artpulse review for PlayStation 4 - Demon Gaming

Karl writes: - You’re placed in an out-of-this-world environment (there’s a small selection to choose from) and after a quick tutorial of which buttons do what, you’re free to play! Using the motion controllers to combine a variety of shapes and colors (and a bit of freehand painting) you’ll produce beats, synths and…other musical sounds (I’m not an EDM expert so you’ll have to forgive my ignorance on the subject) which will create and elevate the chosen track (again not a huge selection but enough to showcase ArtPulse).

Himno review for PlayStation 4 - Demon Gaming

Josh writes: - I am going to cut through all the formalities I normally give my reviews with Himno. Normally I try to go into ever Indie title I play with an open mind, and that was no different with Himno. The game boasts “a non-violent, no death platformer.” That may be true that you do not fight off zombies or orcs. However, the bit about not dying is a load of crap as you will constantly fall into the water as you have no clue where you are going half the time.

The animation is nice and it looks like it controls well but they seem to have forgotten to make it a game.

Mekabolt review for PlayStation 4 - Demon Gaming

Lyam writes: - Mekabolt is very simple in concept. Your gun itself is the mekabolt and shooting enemies allows you to manipulate them in a way to continue on in the stage. For instance, one enemy walks on a platform and by shooting it, you can use it to access higher heights. Another is a flying one that when shot, it falls to the ground briefly, letting the player have a moment to jump atop of it and ride upwards. Figuring out the patterns of the enemies and what their benefits are is the key to success in finishing stages. There’s not much difficulty since each time a new concept such as a new enemy appears, the next few stages are simplified to learn the benefits of that enemy.
