i think the games will be new ones that just came out, they normally have a list of like 20 eligible games or some crap, this is ridiculous a 400 dollar system with 300$ worth of games total 700$ for a 400$ system? and u still pay 179 lOl. WOW

I'm selling my PS4 soon as well. You get around 200-250 without games which I'm fine with.

@NewMonday, but you can sell the console and any 5 games for much more than 174.99 on eBay... If it is in good shape and the games are good you could probably get as high as 300 or even 350.

This isn't eBay. They have to make a profit.

Depends. Promos like this they typically don't, but guaranteed XYZ or bonus credit for games that trade in for ABC tend to get it.

In theory, but not in practice. A lot of companies don't price things based off sales/deals/so forth, making it quite easy to turn a profit. A good example was the TIV for Mario Kart 8 not being impacted by the Club Nintendo promotion, where as most informed consumers weren't willing to pay anywhere near as much.

It makes more sense if you actively do it, but there are plenty of sales/promos/deals where you can actually turn a decent profit just buying/flipping games. Like I made $120 profit selling Mario Kart 8 (minus gas and time expenses that I can't really figure) simply because it went on sale, there was a promo and the TIV was still high.

Probably less due to the fees, but the real issue isn't getting $200 for your PlayStation 4, it's that you need to add five games to the mix. According to the article Fifa is excluded and the games need to be different, this means, unless you get really lucky, you're looking at about another $25 and tax expense (cheapest listed on GS for PS4 besides Disney Infinity is $4.99).

So you're almost trading 3/4 the cost for 1/2 and saving the hassle. While this isn't terrible, since the new slim and resellers will hurt the resale value, the real value for companies here are the five games.

For them the thought process is to get good titles for cheap (unless I'm not seeing the part that says minimum). Like if you trade Uncharted Collection and Uncharted 4, they got something worth $27 in credit and that leaves three more games that could or could not be worth more.

It's hoe getting ripped off works. Even more so if you are not clued up with second hand items.

Then trade yours in and support the nonsense.
