Microsoft has unveiled the most powerful console ever, a huge statement of intent as it attempts to claw back to market supremacy. Its risky business, but is it a gamble worth taking after the disappointing PlayStation 4 Pro reveal?

The Micro Machines racing games have been built on a mighty legacy of tiny racing. But the latest game in the series lacks the content -- and drive -- to keep it moving forward.

Jerry from BagoGames says, "Some of the biggest news from E3 was that the Xbox One would soon be backwards compatible for Xbox games, these are 5 games we would like to see."
None... because BC simply a collection of games I have no interest in ever playing again. I can't even keep up with my new games coming out.
Make it a competent remaster or GTFO :)

One of the most anticipated games for this year is Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, the sequel to Monolith’s 2014 fresh take on the Lord of the Rings universe. The game is also being billed as one of the flagship titles for Microsoft’s Xbox One X, which will be the most powerful console ever made when it releases- presumably because it will leverage all that power, and put it to some good use.
"The guys who have the X, the biggest thing about it is the load times. On the normal Xbox dev kit, it will take us a few minutes to load one of our worlds. It’s pretty big and takes a while to rev up. The X loads in a few seconds. So that’s a big deal if you’re trying to iterate quickly to get more cycles on something.”
Thats quite a improvement.
Bring on da X.
All games will be improved on the Xbox One X in 5 ways.
1. Smoother performance and no screen-tearing
2. Maximum possible resolution on dynamic titles
3. Improved texture filtering
4. Xbox One X GameDVR support
5. Faster loading
The engineers at Microsoft deserve credit.

I wish he would have been more specific. He is talking about Dev kits which we know has 4 different settings, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, and full Dev Kit. I want to know the difference between the Xbox One S and Xbox One X load times.
He just said Normal Xbox One dev kits and Xbox One X Dev kit which means they could be using the 24GB of memory rather than the Xbox One X setting which will limit it.
Making this sound way better than it truly will be from a consumer point of view. The headline doesnt mention dev kit and so it all feels misrepresented.
Dont get me wrong I am not saying the game wont load faster but to me this isnt presented in a way that is realistic to real world scenarios, without being more clear.
It announced a console coming sometime in 2017. I think more info on price and what exactly it is capable of need to come out before any honest conclusions can be made. Right now everything is pure conjecture. Everything will remain pure conjecture until MS spills the beans at their event.
The media is definitely trying to help in this "battle".
Competition's good.
One of the reasons I feel last gen was better than this gen, is the competition was FIERCE. Everyone stepped up their game, everyone plugged a hole and brought something new to the table. The forums were migraine inducing, kinda like now, but the product was better. IMHO.
All we need now is Nintendo to make it a 3 way dance again
when did they unveil this console?
