Quark VR isn't an official partner with Valve or HTC, but they are making their own strides.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

TG writes: If you’ve ever wanted that chaotic, large-scale modern warfare feeling from Battlefield but in full VR immersion, Forefront delivers it better than anything else currently available on Quest.
The streaming of VR content is also being in the fore front of VR this time compared to the late 80's & early 90's when VR was being looked into by the industry.
This time though, not only is VR very viable with Mobile VR even offering a good VR experience, but with Tethered VR having persistence of Presence.. It will have a very good over all experience than many people may find now that VR would be Somthing they would like to have for themselves to enjoy The VR content being offered.
Example from a few VR streaming companies are now out in about in development, so I would say it's off to atleast a good start already.
As an Example already:
Sony’s streaming service Crackle unveils its plans for VR content…and VR ads
[VR content will soon be arriving on yet another digital streaming service — this time, Sony’s Crackle. But it will also include VR-enabled ads, the company announced today. That is, in addition to streaming its entire content library — including movies and original programs — in a special “VR theater,” it will also allow advertisers to “skin” this theater with logos and integrate their own 360-degree ads.]

Quark VR for example from the article
"They are advising us on the OpenVR integration, and supported us with hardware. They are very open and supportive to all Vive developers.”
OpenVR is VR development as an agnostic platform for any platform , Linux, Mac, Windows, console's, mobile..etc.
“They way it works is the Vive is connected to a Single Board Computer, and a battery. The SBC is running Quark VR, which is the VR streaming software we are developing. We’ve come up with a low latency streaming solution that meets the demands of VR.”
As you can See, the developments into not just VR but also VR content being streamed are well under way.
