In their Nintendo Direct today, the Japanese company have finally announced a portable Pikmin title. Rather than a full sequel, this is actually a side-scrolling game which seems to be much more well-suited to the handheld console than the mainline game.
Nintendo confirms that its mysterious Close To You video is a Pikmin animated short, featuring a baby and the iconic Pikmin in a heartwarming pacifier chase.
Nintendo is currently working on a new spin off based on its real-time strategy and puzzle game series, Pikmin, based on the latest rumor.
Hopefully they focus on Pikmin 4 DLC instead. That game introduced tons of interesting mechanics that deserve extra levels and bosses.
I hope for some Pikmin 4 DLC too.. to be honest, they could even make the second player somehow to work (not talking about that extra mode).. but they could make that you can control the dog at least, even if it's on the same screen in story mode
