Couldn't get onto bf4 earlier, thought this was down to the shite BT router....

Yeah, I tried to load this up before going to work today and the servers weren't available then. I just figured it was down for some type of maintenance or something.

I dont even believe these are DDOS anymore. The two games that are under attack are BF1 and WoW Legion. Obviously both at max capacity.

The only thing I don't like about the beta is its only Normal lol. I hate playing Normal mode, its for scrubs. Hardcore all the way. You die a lot quicker and vehicles blow up faster which is more realistic, especially lighting someone up with the first assault rifle for the assault** class, its like you're shooting BB's at someone sometimes. Hopefully they keep hardcore like BF4 where they turn of the lame(IMO) minimap where you fire 1 shot and half the enemy team converges on your location. I liked BF4 with the no mini map because it takes skill to hear where things are coming from such as gun shots, foot steps, enemy vehicles etc.

Finally got in after smashing square, there are a bunch of servers with like 3 people capping all the flags and padding their stats. It's just a beta and people still cheat lol

Make sure you change your FOV in the settings, yes on PS4, It is set too low.

Feels much better after that.

even before the beta was open to everyone they had people reporting problems with the not connected to servers and not putting them in a match. I think the someone is trying to DOS attack the servers is BS so they don't look stupid cause they can't even make the beta run like it should

I waited since 11:00 PM yesterday now it's 8:16 AM on September 1 in Thailand.
If this go on for half more day then they need to extend the beta.

All hope is lost for this game to have a good launch.

Sucks but that is what a beta is for. I'll try again tomorrow. Good thing about open betas is that I get to try it on all of the platforms I own to see which feels the best.

It's ok now, been playing since 2pm UK time flawlessly.

Just been playing DOOM DLC Unto The Evil MP mostly and really enjoying it, but I do play a good amount of EA NHL Hockey also . Hopefully EA will fix this problem soon.

Played the beta at first and didn't like the game very much then I came back later in the evening and gave it a second try and ended up loving it. Was looking forward to playing it some more and probably will end up buying it...of course something like this has to come along and ruin it right? These DDOS guys are pretty lame.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
