It’s been 18 years since Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield made their debut appearances in the Resident Evil franchise. Now, 18 years later, SA Gamer summoned the courage to review one of the most beloved games in history: Resident Evil 2.

Capcom has announced and released the original Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 on Steam.

Capcom recently released Resident Evil Requiem, and it's been so successful that it's seemingly dragging along every other Resi game with it.
That's certainly true in the UK; the latest physical retail charts have come in, and the top 10 includes five Resident Evil games across all platforms.

This month, unleash brutal finishers in the reimagined Mortal Kombat 1, swing through Marvel’s New York skyline as the iconic web-slinger in Marvel’s Spider-Man, or gear up to repel swarming alien forces in Earth Defense Force 6. All these titles and more are available in August’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup. That includes Sword of the Sea, which releases day one into Game Catalog. Meanwhile, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis bring retro survival horror to PlayStation Plus Premium. All titles will be available to play on August 19*.
So I fired up the fatman PS3 to buy some classic games and it's not an option anymore. Damn you Sony!!!!!!!!
Ah yes, Resident Evil 2, the Dawn of the Dead of video games is now legal. Back on subject here, considering how old the game is I can give the author credit with how the game MIGHT not be as scary to a newer audience with the visuals. Is there cheesy dialogue? Of course. It was cheesy then.
As for the so-called "tank controls" I've never had a problem with them, nor the newer controls, but the old controls in my opinion always added a sense of urgency.
Now in the defense of the fixed camera that created more tension because you couldn't see the entire room.
Hopefully Capcom puts in a classic mode to please the purists who want the retro controls and the fixed camera.
If the murmurings of RE2 remake are true and we get Kazunori Kadoi as the game's director then we may get the remake moving in the right direction.
