No Man's Sky mods take aim at making universal exploration more enjoyable

From GameWatcher: "No Man's Sky hit the market recently and by many accounts, while it delivers the vast universe to explore that was promised, it's also a bit of a repetitive grind fest. Luckily, modders have taken to making improvements to ease the game's problems and enhance the journey. We've brought a few of our favorties together on GameWatcher and are putting the spotlight on two new particularly enjoyable mods that have recently come out."

This is where PC gaming shines. Hello Games have crafted the framework for a potentially limitless game once the modding community start releasing content.

modding community will do what hello games couldnt.

Kluv3566d ago

I think that statement makes it seem like the modder's are better than hello games at making their own game. Which I hope isn't what you mean, and that you mean they can simply add to their game in ways that Hello Games can't.

subtenko3566d ago

They would have made No Mans Sky first then. Hello Games can add whatever modders add....you do know its dumb to say otherwise right? You should have said what hello games might not want in the game but wont stop anyone personally.

Filmicfps3566d ago

if hello games could do it they would. maybe they couldnt do it for other reaons like time and nothing to do with talent?

DragonKnight3566d ago

Well, look at what modders do to Bethesda's games then try and say they aren't better than Hello Games.

Most of the modders can't even be bothered to create an install package. You get a zip file that might contain directions on what you supposed to do with it and when it does it's like copy these files here, open this file and look for this setting and change it to this instead of having something that does all of that for you.

Already really liking the sound of the clean screenshot mod and the mod to reduce the overuse of the suit voice always warning about the life support being low, when its clearly not.

I'll wait for NMS to get more mod support and to lower in price. Then I'll pro ably buy on pc. I wanted it for ps4 but it seems like this game has a lot of potential with mod support.

Just need the VR mod for PC and we're all set.

No Man’s Sky: Assemble Your Creatures for Battle in the Xeno Arena with the Newest Free Update

Sean writes: "Last month’s Remnant update caused much hilarity as you tooled with your newfangled gravity guns and customisable exocraft, transporting precarious industrial cargo across uneven terrain in a classic risk vs. reward fight. Our latest update is a whole different beast."
