From GameWatcher: "If you thought that the dream of the Rube Goldberg device game died with the Incredible Machine series, then I’ve got some good news. The contraption-building concept has been quietly trucking along thanks to the Crazy Machines franchise, and the latest entry just got a new teaser trailer and a release date that’s not far off.
Crazy Machines 3 will release on October 18 for PC, Mac, and Linux. The developers promise the greatest, most advanced contraption simulation ever created, building on systems and operators ranging from electricity and explosions to lasers and the wind."

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "I have something to confess. The first time I played Mouse Trap (the board game) was about 4 months ago. Yes the game with the obnoxious commercials and the annoying children had somehow avoided becoming a part of my childhood but that didn’t stop me from tinkering with building block toys like LEGO and K’nex. So when I was offered the chance to build wack-contraptions to my heart’s content in Crazy Machines 3, I was understandably excited. So after several hours and many, many… many dumb machines, do I still have a construction itch to scratch?"

COG writes: Crazy Machines 3 offers a digital Rube Goldberg experience, giving players the option of building their own crazy contraptions or solving puzzles.

SteamFirst: In Crazy Machines, German developer, “Fakt Software” recreates their traditional 2-D puzzle game for the constantly improving graphics technology of current times. The last Crazy Machine was released back in 2007. Fakt prides itself in being a Rube Goldberg-inspired game, which essentially means, a game that is “deviously complex and impractical.”
