I'm gonna watch some new streams on release night with all the fixin's before making up my mind. There's absolutely no reason for anyone not to erase their early saves from this weekend.

If that doesn't get you hype, then nothing will. Holy crap! Those patch notes are straight up dope, and I love how he ends it with saying what they are working on in the next patch, not to mention how exciting those things themselves are.
Now, to somehow get back to not thinking about No Man's Sky...

In 6 to 12 months no man sky could totally be a different game

I think the development team is between 25 to 30 so be thankful for their hardwork

Excited I am for updates like this, that I genuinely forgot of the potential for a dedicated online multiplayer mode.

I think within a year they will have put something together. The wait for the base game has me itching.

All those massive gameplay changes, its incredible that a team of a few developers did this considering that amount of time between gold status and release for them to do this much work. They must have not slept even once, which if they did I would applause they hell out of these guys

Mines arriving tomorrow but if they are wiping the boards and the update isn't arriving until Tuesday/Wednesday I'll wait for the to go live then I'm diving in head first. Can't wait but don't want my experience to be ruined because my stuff got reset or things were missing due to the patch as it seems they've done quite a bit for the first patch id rather have it all included from the start. Not long now.
Got an absolute bargain on the special edition £52.99 and £1 back in rewards. Standard edition costs £47.99 at the same place haha.

holy damn! in 4 to 5 weeks they did all that? everything sounds freaking awesome!

The small ships were 250k Units, the price for a Giant Space Freighter maybe twice or even triple that, hopefully they have it like small destroyed ships where we find a downed GSF and spend hours mining resources to revive it.

Well... the pre-load feature on the PS4 is amazing. 4;40 AM Sunday morning it downloaded and now I just wait for my clock to hit 0:00 :)

Holy moly. They brought in a Deus Ex guy to rewrite a branching path storyline, reprogrammed how aiming works, included entirely new systems like creatures needing to eat, redid the universe's generation formula... wow. Now *that* is an update.

I guess this is because they wanted to get all of this done by release, but first they had to go gold with a previous version because disc production takes weeks to do. Nothing sketchy here. I'll patiently wait for reviews of the day-one-update version in this case.

Gaming started for me in 1976 when I was 8 playing pong with my dad on a Telstar console hooked up to an old, beat up black and white tv made in the 50s. I was hooked. In those same years I developed a passion for astronomy and was in awe the more I learned about our solar system, our galaxy and the whole of the universe. Tomorrow, after work, I will sit down and put No Man's Sky into my PS4. I will gather my six children around me and we will discover a new universe together.
