Over the week IGN have dropped the ball on what is essentially the biggest middle finger the sonic community ever received from a major news outlet.
Here's why it happened.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Strauss Zelnick says price of GTA 6 is being carefully considered and that Rockstar is focused on "making the most spectacular piece of entertainment on Earth."
If GTA 6 abandons everything that made GTA 5 great, it will crash and burn right out of the gate. GTA 5 was funny and not at all PC. My worry is that they will cave to the PC crowd and ruin the vibes.
Meh.., if it’s above £55 I ain’t buying it.
Rockstar are genuinely not half the company they used to be. I was a die hard GTA fan I’ve purchased every game and expansion and spin off day 1.
My opinion of GTA6 is that I can take it or leave it. Not bothered. They burnt too many bridges.
So they're actually leaving the door open for an L.A. Noire sequel? Nice!
He should just come out and say it already it's getting stupid it's going to be a 100 bucks $200 for the special edition🤡🤡; 29315;🤣♿
I won't be getting this game until I can get it for $70. SHoot, I could wait for it to be even lower. I don't need the game that badly as my backlog is still huge and I am enjoying playing other things.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is getting cheaper but Call of Duty is leaving day-one access. Here’s what we think the price drop means for Xbox, PC Game Pass, and the future of the service.
I watched one of their videos where one guy said "has there ever been a good Sonic game" or something and i turned it off, i didn't even bother to watch it.
I bet if it were Mario they would have said different, way too biased. And to say there hasn't been a good Sonic game not even once according to them is just plain ignorant.
It is amazing to me that people are that upset about some guys' opinion. It's friggin' Game Scoop! It's all in good fun, and if you are that upset that they poked fun at a game, you should toughen up a little bit. It's just toys.
*This coming from a man with totally unabashed love for Sonic Adventure 2. Live and learn!
Those guys don't seem like they actually played anything since 1994 and are just blowing what their friends and media influenced. Adventure, A2, Sonic 4, Heroes, Generations, Colors, and even Unleashed are decent outings. Sonic 2 is still great and holds up just as well as Super Mario. I love both.
This is a ridiculous article. Turning a mountain out of a mole hill. It's a couple of guys sharing their opinions and you turn it into some grand biased conspiracy of IGN vs. Sonic.
Sonic is an overall good series which has terrible entries sprinkled throughout with a fair dose of mediocrity. But to blast it as a whole is beyond ridiculous.
