Add On's have long been a much maligned feature of consoles. At their best they can add to a gaming experience. They can at their worst splinter the userbase and without the right support leave consumers feeling short changed.

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.
To celebrate Tomb Raider: Legend's 20th anniversary, the official channels have shared an early in-development gameplay demo.

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.
get a life the wii has only the right add-ons
So agreed with the Wii Zapper.
Didn't look at the list, but please tell me the xbox 360's 20gb hdd was on there. I mean, 20 gb for 200 bucks. hahahaahahahahahahahahahahahha ahhaah~
for some reason I always thought of "add on's" and accessories as two different things. When I think of add ons I think of stuff being placed on or connected directly to the system....and accessories as all the other stuff.
No mention of the XBOX(1) DVD remote control then?
I found it hillarious that MS insisted that I should buy an expensive official remote just to access the BUILT IN DVD PLAYER.
Nooooooo way.
