Its nice to want, or in this case, to expect things. Especially from something that so far comes off a bit generic.

It's a fast paced action game unlike other zombie games and that's what i like about it and it looks amazing.

Rimeskeem3579d ago

Just because it's a zombie game doesnt mean its generic. I personally have never seen a zombie game like this. Fast paced, fast zombies, 3rd person, open world, some climbing, and hordes (I mean like huge hordes running at you), that's the kind of adrenaline I'm looking for in a zombies game.

But of course, just my opinion.

I haven't played many zombie games, personally. And just because it deals with zombies doesn't mean that it can't carve out a unique identity.

I thought it looked great. The fact it takes place in my old stomping grounds of central Oregon makes it all the more appealing to me.

As a ps4 and Xbox owner I thought dead rising 4 and state of decay 2 looked way more generic, I'm a bit flushed from zombie games but I got a very fresh lively take on this game so I'm really looking forward for it

To set up a series of traps and luring the zombies through them is a major part of this game.
And Bend said the exploration through the bike is also very huge and vital part.

It does seems like that formula could lead to a great 'longevity' to a game. I am all in for any mature looking Single player game though.

Was very impressed by the technical aspect of the demo... the game looks gorgeous. The zombie hordes were impressive too.

The actual demo was kind of boring tbh. Gameplay did look stiff as well, but I guess that's because we're used to animations from Assassins Creed, Uncharted 4 etc

The 10th Rider3579d ago

I think it's because the game is still at least a year and a half off, maybe two and a half.

I was impressed by technical aspect as well, but the gameplay didn't really grab me. It looked too scripted. We'll have to see where the game goes in the next year or two.

This game would have more substantial longevity if it has multiplayer

I do wonder why Sony chose this to end the show with. It looks like good game, but by no means blew me away. even based on the attendee's reaction, god of war got a bigger "pop". Personally, I would have opened with spider man and closed with god of war. But from this piece, I might be wrong, just need to see more.

Pongwater3579d ago

I'd say they opened with GoW because of the orchestra. The music played for several minutes and, to me anyway, it was close enough to GoW music to make me wonder if that's what it was but I still wasn't completely sure until Kratos spoke and then stepped from the shadows. For me it was one of the coolest E3 moments ever and a great piece of showmanship that would have been at least a little diminished if done another way.

I'd also say Days Gone was a better ender than Spiderman simply because it was a gameplay demo and not a trailer. Spiderman did look very cool though, no doubt.

yeahright23579d ago

AH, yes. good point with the orchestra. I agree on not ending with spiderman, opening would have been fine, but you're right about God of war filling that slot better.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing6d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster926d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit6d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing6d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster926d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
