Pokemon GO Servers Down, Hackers Planning "Something Bigger"

Pokemon GO suffered massive outages throughout Saturday, July 16, being offline for many hours. Taking a game of this scope offline for all users is no small feat, and the hackers responsible have been revealed to be PoodleCorp, the same group that has been hacking a lot of popular YouTubers lately.

It's working fine for me. Sounds more like losers taking credit for the game not being able to handle the daily active users to a new game. We haven't heard from lizard squad in a while haven't we? I guess they only come around the holiday season.

Little loser kids at it again I see

There's always someone

I haven't played PG but why is there a "hacker" group so hell bent on shutting it down??? Let them eat cake a$$holes.

starrman19853604d ago

I'd suggest they try it themselves but I feel they would shrivel up in the sun, they also might explode when put in social situations..

EcoSos33604d ago

They are not hackers, DDoS is not hacking.

GameBoyColor3604d ago

But they did get acces to youtube accounts. I think it's right to call them hackers even though this incident is just a ddos(or it could be shit servers and credit taking)

KillZallthebeast3604d ago (Edited 3604d ago )

What a shock the servers may be having issues as they are getting ready to launch in japan...with such a flawless track record so far clearly it must be the dastardly misdeeds of these brilliant and vile master hackerors!

Pokémon Go Championship Winner Title Revoked for ‘Unsportsmanlike Conduct’

The winner of the Pokémon Go Championship grand finals in Orlando was stripped of their title, allegedly for 'unsportsmanlike conduct' during their victory celebration. The celebration involved the winner removing their headset, standing up, and pumping their fists before shaking hands with their opponent. Many believe the ruling was excessive and that winner's victory celebration was tame compared to celebrations by winners in other competitive games.

There are people that get offended seeing others just enjoying a moment, or enjoying a hobby, or just having fun.

Can someone explain to me what is so problematic with this? I watched video multiple times and all I see dude having bit of celebration. None of his actions felt aggressive or seem like they symbolize anything... Like winning sure deserves bit of celebration like that. I mean who wants to live in the world where you aren't allowed to be excited or have bit of burst of happiness when you win? Like was he supposed to act like emotionless robot? He should be allowed to have bit of his victory "hell yeah" moment, even if it is before shaking hands with opponent. Like it is not like he didn't shake hands or whatnot. And it is not like he is like some super serious government official to have to stick to protocol to a letter. This whole thing is just ridiculous.
