Xbox marketing manager Aaron Greenberg claims that Microsoft doesn't need Crackdown 3 to release in 2016, as it has many other games set to launch this holiday season.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."

Today, Koei Tecmo announced its financial results for the full fiscal year 2025, related to the period between April 2025 and March 2026.
The game isn't ready just yet according to the dev, but I am much more excited to hear that MS is attempting to do more of what they tried this year with Quantum break.
Which is to release games more than just during the the last three months of the year and leave the other 9 barren. Definitely a good change in my book as a gamer.
It's good that more games will be coming out more often throughout the year. but don't try and lie and cover up the fact that crackdown wasn't ready anytime soon to show to the public. If he would have said that they need more development time, I'd believe him. But what he's saying is hogwash.
All that cloud, cloud, cloud,DX12, cloud was just Microsoft trying to push some type of power advantage over PS4 because Sony made a better system in a shorter amount of time. Then they used the game to try and sell that power. When the cloud didn't work, and showing falling buildings in crackdown didn't work, they are now turning to announcing Scorpio to show a power advantage.
Making more quality games and releasing them throughout the year is a power advantage. Basically.... Do what Sony does. Take some of those billions they have and build some more development studies producing games. And stop worrying about power. It didn't work with the OG Xbox. It didn't work with 360. It hadn't worked all this gen trying to be the most powerful.
Sony learned since PS1 that they needed to make games. With PS2, better games. With PS3, better, bigger studios to make better games. With PS4, an easier way to make better games. Which is why Sony let third parties go multiplatform last gen. How come Microsoft can't recognize that it's not just about power? Crackdown was a sham. And Greenberg knows it.
It's OK, I'll just wait for it to come out in 2017, I think this game will start something new with games, something that hasn't ever happened to gaming, and that's cloud destruction, I hope it gets the "Scorpio" upgrade.
This is the future of gaming that isn't available on any other console! 4K gaming, unprecedented graphical fidelity, cloud gaming....I think Microsoft are doing a great job with gamers, please don't rush the game, I'm a BIG Crackdown fan, I want this game to be something special, something amazing that can't be achieved on any other console. Not even PS4.
They're not wrong, it probably wasnt ready for an early Q1/Q2 release and they have a pretty solid holiday line-up already.
Also gives them more time to polish it up, very curious about the cloud tech used.
