I'd love to see more developers support Vulkan. That way when Microsoft inevitability tries to make DX UWP only developers and the marketplace in general will have an strong alternative.

DirectX is a suite of API's that are proprietary to Microsoft and are only available on the Microsoft Windows operating system. Vulkan on the other hand, are an equivalent suite of open API's that are cross platform which basically means they can be run on the PS4, Android devices, PC (includes XB1) with Microsoft Windows or Linux or Apple's OSX.

As for which suite is better well that a debate for another time.

Yea I tried out VulKan in doom today and I'm getting way better performance with all everything set to ultra.

Played the Doom demo on the PS4 and it looks and plays great (ie. no discernable slowdown and blurring) on my IPS monitor and also on my 55" 200Hz TV.

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

LG_Fox_Brazil407d ago

That's a pretty fucking great list

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

After watching Scavengers Reign? The answer is unequivocally yes. I really want something out of left field but I think people are too afraid to shake things up.

It's what I love about Shadowrun and Black Mirror. Love, Death, and Robots proved that there's an audience for stuff that doesn't fit the mold.

Weird games in general we don't get enough of, we need more games like Katamari and Mr domino, things like that
