RPG Site: When 7th Dragon III Code: VFD was announced for Japan last summer, many assumed it would never see Western shores. After all, none of the other games in the series received an official translation, so its chances didn't seem great. However, thanks to Sega's acquisition of Atlus - including the localization team at Atlus USA - Sega has recently been able to localize more of their Japanese titles to North America.

The venerable Nintendo 3DS is entering its twilight years. After a rocky, uncertain launch, the system built a following and a library that allowed it to become one of the most successful systems released, and it certainly has the top-tier games to show for it. Before [people] put the handheld into long-term storage (or if [someone is] just now getting one), check out [Michibiku's] guide for the best the system has to offer!

Colin K. from Link-Cable writes: "7th Dragon III Code: VFD is a turn based RPG developed and published for the 3DS by Sega, and released in North America way back in June of 2016. I hadn’t heard anything about this game until I saw it in my local used game shop, , the two clerks knew nothing about it, and everyone I’ve talked to since I bought it hasn’t heard anything about it. That’s really a shame, because I discovered an absolutely fantastic RPG that day."

"Okay, let’s get this out of the way – the title of this game is pretty ridiculous. That said, I enjoyed it far more than the demo ever hinted that I could and I spent the majority of one of my days playing it. Thankfully, I didn’t need prior experience with the series to enjoy this one."
