Delayed games seem to part of our everyday lives now, but should developers ship unfinished games and use the cloud to finish them, or should they delay them and give themselves more time?

All available May 5.
I think the only game here for me is Nine Sols. Was always interested in that game.
Good month for me, I wanted that particular footy game and thought it might be due. Anyway who cares, shame about the site I'll miss the comment sections. All the best everyone.
Naughty Dog was reportedly divided on the controversial fate of Joel in The Last of Us Part 2 during the game's development.
I think it was good decision, if he was still alive, he would have been a mascot just like Kratos, drake and many others. These old dudes gotta die for new characters to take center stage with their own storyline. They keep dragging the emotional baggage into many sequels and eventually the story just turns into absolute shit show.
Honestly as much as I loved the game, they could have just not killed him off.
I get it creator vision and all but killing a character that made you millions is just wrong imo. At least have him go down fighting.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.
I prefer delay to be honest. Sure, it can get frustrating. But it even more frustrating when the game is broken.
Broken all the way!!!
Delayed, easily. There are plenty of games out there, i can just play something else to pass the time, it doesn't really bother me if a game is delayed. Broken games are horrible though. With a broken game you are waiting for a huge patch that can take a long time to download and with a lot of games we don't even get a patch, some games stay broken forever.
delayed its the only one thats recoverable a broken game even once fixed still leaves a shit taste. a amazing game delayed a few times before release is still amazing on release even if you had to wait a little longer. what im getting sick of is these 2 week delays like it dose anything push it back 2 months finish the game and put some serious time into q&a. It is 2016 there is not excuses for releasing a game that dosent work outer then well we didnt care. i for one wish sony would start charging devs to release patches and xbox would go back to doing that so when the game is fucked at luanch it cost the publisher money and if they chose not to pay it for one reason or anouther then it will cost them fans. sure that will lead to devs not wanting to patch a game when the revenue or playerbase shrinks but i think devs publishers and even gamers need to be taught a lesson about broken games and why they suck balls. i have been playing games sense i could crawl there is nothing worse then starting a game knowing the devs spent 2+ years on it to be nothing more then a buggy broken mess
Why is this even a question? Who in their right mind WANTS to play a broken game? It seems to me that it's a dumb question and a no-brainer that no game should be released until it's finished. Every time a publisher snatches an unfinished game from a crunching dev, anger and stupidity ensues.
An announced release date is arbitrary and should be flexible. Is there ANY other product in the world you would expect a manufacturer to sell you by a certain date even if it's not finished? Is there any entertainment medium that benefits from a hurried tacked-on ending? Or worse, when ending is just cut off?
There is such a flood of games out there right now, anybody stamping their feet over a missed release date will be able to find something fun to do in the meantime.
