System Shock demo and Kickstarter thoughts

Well, my (Robin Ek, TGG) Saturday sure couldn´t have started off any better than it did. And the reason why is spelled "System Shock". You see. NightDive studios dropped a playable demo for their remake of "System Shock 1" yesterday (the Kickstarter campaign has gone live as well). So these are my thoughts on the demo (+ the Kickstarter campaign) so far.

Imo, the demo gave you a pretty good idea about what Nightdive is trying to do with their remake of SS1.

I have been a "System Shock" fan since 1994, and I think Nightdive has done a really good job with the remake so far =)

My demo keeps crashing, I get a black screen and can still hear the in game sfx running, but no game screen.

The little I played was great though, want more.

A good start would be to release games to go with the console. My Xbox Series X has gathered dust virtually from launch. My advice would be to ditch a next console and release games on PC, PlayStation and Switch. Another idea would be a hybrid console based on Xbox Series X tech and go the same route as Nintendo. Another idea would be to pull out of gaming altogether. Plenty of options there.

Why would they pull out? They have the momentum. Sony has been getting nothing but bad news lately.
