Could Resident Evil 7’s reconstruction reinvent itself into something that’s far from it?

Has limited ammo, weapons, herbs and won't have hordes of enemies ala RE4-6.

Sounds like classic RE to me bud. The most drastic thing here is its in first person.

That is the unclassic part ;)

Jessido, somehow i don't think your actually a fan of the series. maybe show some respect and understand why it was popular to begin with? nah you probably won't

Jessido, believe it or not there are things in this world that are timeless. If something manages not only to rope in a huge following but influences future entertainment in general then nostalgia has little to do with it being a classic.

I am not even going to waste my time arguing over the last comment.

I just wish the first-person view was optional....

Yeah, it's partially classic rather than fully classic. I imagine most RE fans would look at RE 1/2/3 as classics and expected RE7 to go fully back to those roots, camera angles and all. I know it may sound dumb but that is what classic RE is. Still interested to see how RE7 turns out and really glad we will be getting RE2 remake.

Review - Resident Evil 7 Biohazard (Switch 2) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "It’s been nearly ten years, but Resident Evil 7 hasn’t aged a day. Its brand new Switch 2 port not only showcases that its gameplay is still fresh and tense after all these years, but also showcases how well Nintendo’s portable can handle some of the more demanding games from the previous generation, with a handful of improvements to make it look as good as its current-gen counterparts. There’s also the fact there’s a ton of extra content for you to enjoy, from videos to entire new modes and side campaigns, so this is a worthy inclusion to the Switch 2’s currently minute library, and a great excuse for you to replay one of the most important horror games released in recent memory."

Hoping for a small Direct for these games. Especially RE9.

The village graphics is insane!

Smooth gameplay already! So excited for my Generation Pack pre-order. I already platinum RE7 on PS5, but I don't have the chance to play Village.

By the way, the RE7 and RE8 included in Generation Pack are both the Gold Editions.
