Capcom delves into its reasoning for shifting perspectives in Resident Evil 7.
A new comparison shows Resident Evil 7 on Switch 2 runs at 60fps with visuals close to PS5, outperforming the PS4 version.
Game came out in 2017 . I expect the newer console to at least match or be better than the older ones .
PS4 PSU = 250 watts (base model)
PS5 PSU = 220 watts
Switch 2 = 22 watts (docked)
Crazy efficiency from Switch 2.
I don’t know who keeps posting this guy. The switch does NOT match the PS5 performance. Please put digital foundry vids instead. It beats series S visually. The beginning of the video shows the car hood example. The upscaler is pixelated as hell on switch but smooth, but less detailed on PS4 and not even on PS5s league. That’s the upscaler trying to make 540p look higher res. I really don’t understand the reasoning for the gas lighting.

Resident Evil 7 has massively flopped by making fewer than 2000 purchases on iOS, with other console mobile ports also performing poorly.
Well at least there are games like angry birds or clash of clans for mobile gamers :-)
Apple users ain't gamers. I don't know whether this push with "metal" was just to say they did it and it's possible to run modern games, or if Capcom just said hey more units is better, but either way this shouldn't be all that surprising.
Mobile gamers only want simple games and gachas. Nobody wants to pay up front for a mobile game, you have to hide it behind micro transactions lol.

Fan favorite Resident Evil 7 is coming to mobile, but once again, Capcom is only releasing the game on Apple’s latest phones and tablets.
Honestly I would play a Resident Evil based purely off of the demo than the crappy Resident Evil 6 that came out
To run after P.Ts success and cash in on it while throwing away the roots of the RE franchise.
Not that hard to understand why they went first person after how popular P.T was. Capcom like chasing success stories, not actually doing their own thing.
Resident Evil 5 and 6 - Chasing action games like Call of Duty
Resident Evil 7 - Chasing walking simulator horror games like P.T
Guess we still have the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I guess Capcom will see, if they do it right, how much popular that game will be.
1st person? Oh it was eventually going to go this way anyway. It all stemmed from the release of RE 4 when it went from survival horror to action horror shooter. Capcom just loves to take dumps on their franchises. R.I.P. Resident Evil.
Because it's the best perspective for horror. <-- Fact.
3rd person is the next best, but unless it's controls are difficult and work against you, the horror doesn't really show through.
But crawling up to a corner and leaning left to see something scary is in a league of it's own. And now it's PSVR.
Prepare to baby wipe.
