With Arkane Studio's "re-imagining" of the Prey license, the question is not whether it will be a good game, but whether it will be a "Prey" game.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."

I would have said "something to shoot at" But then I read the article...
Prey wasn't bad for 2006. The only thing I disliked was the death mingame. That got old pretty quick. But yea, wall walking/gravity tricks and portals is what I most remember. Also the Native American angle and Spoiler Alert..................... having to kill your wife (or was it girlfriend? I can't remember) after she got merged with an alien.
You know, although it's not the old Prey, I reckon it's a helluva lot more like it than people may think. The reason they chose to keep the same name is clearly because some of the lore had potential. One of the special things about the first game was the main character's ... humanity. He was a real person. In this game, it appears that the opposite is true. This character is living the same thing everyday, and therefore probably has a lack of a character, which just happens to be an opposite for instance. There are many many things like that that nod to the original, and from the trailer, it's looking promising. It won't be the same gameplay, but it's probably gonna reek of Prey in many other ways ...
