Exclusive games are a double-edged sword. Depending on what side you fall on, you’ll either love them or despise them. It’s natural to feel a sense of pride when the console you invested in receives a game only it can play, just as it’s inevitable for jealousy to rear its ugly head when there’s a game released on a console you don’t own. It seems virtual reality was heading down a similar path, but thankfully Valve may step in help both developers and consumers alike.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The charity event will be streamed live from Gamescom in August.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
Idk... The Vive's price point prices themselves out of the market. They'll never reach enough people to change the industry or peoples minds. Not to mention the Vive isn't realistic. VERY few people can give up a living room 100% for VR.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE VR. I can't WAIT to see where it goes. And I'm smart enough to see it as the next step. It's definitively not a gimmick or even remotely relateble to 3D. VR has a future, and I hope it's a bright and serious one...
But still, If ANYTHING is going to make VR as great as it can be it's going to be PSVR. Fact. It's going to sell the most units, and thank GOD it's high enough quality that people aren't going to turn their backs on it. It's the lowest common denominator where the device is still, "high quality". No matter WHAT some people may say.
Give people Resident Evil 7 with VR, give people a social VR where they can meet new people, give people the extra dimension by letting them look under tables, twist around doorways, and shake peoples hands. Take puzzles to the next level, and exploration to a whole new meaning. THAT is the future of VR.
Can't wait to drive my lonely single ass in a car with that delicious mechanic girl from FF15. Just hope mum don't see me.
Edit: Before ANYONE says anything, I didn't read the article. I have now looked and realized it's about open funding and the whole exclusive games market for VR and it's health...
I'ma keep this here tho, because I want to talk about VR.
Had no issue's with exclusivity before VR anything , but now it has an investment it is concerned . Hope VR developers listen and take bigger pay days over the peanut valve maybe offering .
We are a while off before VR becomes mainstream
Oops
Maybe lets establish the VR industry first - before saving it.
