Nioh Dev Isn't Compromising on Game's "Dark Souls Difficulty"

Team Ninja's Nioh already has a reputation for brutal difficulty before it's even released, and the studio isn't planning on changing that.

The ninja gaiden games are way harder than the souls games, ninja gaiden 2 especially,on the harder difficulties will make you hate the game.

Sunny_D3608d ago

They should continue Ninja Gaiden but definitely start in a new direction because the last one to come out sucked.

robtion3608d ago

Cannot wait for Nioh. It's so good.

Another Beta in August? Just give me the game!!!

I agree with this move. Thank you.

That first demo felt SUPER dry. And was difficult for the sake of being difficult, not for the sake of making it fun/rewarding. At first I got such good vibes from the setting... I hope it's just because of the random location they placed you in, but it felt like... A dark souls clone slash em up if the difficulty was turned up to pointless.

When a challenge build runner who plays Bloodborne like me feels the game is too difficult, it's time to rethink what your doing. Makes me think the game is just really short and they're trying to artificially lengthen it by making it beyond frustrated.

Oh well, some people are masochists.

CrimsonWing693608d ago

Ugh the difficulty was so off putting and I've beaten all the Souls' games. I even put in the survey that they should tone it down or at least play a souls game to figure out the balance...guess that was a waste of my time.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing12d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9212d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit12d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing12d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9212d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
