The results of Blizzard's new feature in Overwatch were pretty disastrous.

Probably for the best, if I knew it existed I'd have abused it too.. fed up of getting matched with selfish players who all want to be DPS which all but forces me to heal, getting over 30% team damage healed and not a single mvp vote.. it's infuriating.

rip dude, if it makes you feel any better i always give healers props when they doing good.

Thanks for the after-match upvotes but they don't really do anything. The best way to thank fellow Overwatch gamers is by learning to play a couple of each role to a decent level because being dynamic is key to winning. If you have a main you're kind of playing the game wrong.

When I started playing I had the mentality of always playing the healer and to be a Mercy main, but you quickly realise that even the best healer in the world cant carry a team that doesn't know how to deal with a turret heavy defence.

Being an amazing assault player is great, but what if your team really needs a tank and/or healer.

Sounds like a game to avoid, then again what online community doesn't suffer from a-holes.

kamisama3617d ago

its a great game when you have a team that actually works together.

I've played about 500 matches and in my experience the toxicity is very low. I've seen smack talk in chat only about 2 or 3 times, excluding the kids that say 'gg ez' after winning a round or match, but even that is quite rare.

I wish I could avoid 90% of the people who play this game, some people are down right useless even asking people to change characters or switch up roles nicely doesn't work, when everyone wants to play Hanzo...

The reasoning behind this sounds pretty ridiculous imo. I seriously doubt that someone couldn't get into a game simply because people were avoiding him. I actually liked this feature because sometimes people are extremely rude in game and I loved that I could mute and avoid them. Now because of "ONE" person the whole system gets removed from the infrastructure? I can't help but feel like there is an underlying problem that they're not telling us about.

Nintendo Switch 2 Drops Must-Play Free FPS You Can Enjoy From Today

In 2023, developed by Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch 2 was released, which was basically a big, glorified update of the original game that launched in 2016. Now, it’s simply reverted to being called just Overwatch, which is probably for the best.

The second iteration of Overwatch was released on the original Nintendo Switch, and while it’s still an enjoyable game with cross-play/progression functions, it’s still lacking in terms of performance and visuals, compared to its PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S counterparts. Well, it was.

As of today, the second iteration of Overwatch is natively available on the Nintendo Switch 2, just in time for Season 2: Summit.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Overwatch will have increased resolution both in handheld and docked modes, enhanced textures and lighting, up to 60 frames-per second, improved audio and more.

Blizzard is readying a patch to address the issue that the game is still running in Switch 1 build and just 30 fps.

Neonridr34d ago

you'd think they'd test it before pushing it live, lol.

that being said, clearly it's not running as intended.

repsahj34d ago

They know it for sure. Maybe they didn't finish optimizing the game by the targeted release date. That's why they released the Switch 1 30fps version first. XD
