After Microsoft dropped the bombshell that Project Scorpio is a reality, Steve talks about the specifications and what impact it may have.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

TG writes: If you’ve ever wanted that chaotic, large-scale modern warfare feeling from Battlefield but in full VR immersion, Forefront delivers it better than anything else currently available on Quest.
I am so pumped for the Scorpio, VR, and 4K gaming. I'm glad Microsoft is raising the bar again.
Im very glad to see what they have done. Hopefully NEO for Sony learns from this and responds accordingly. Very pleased with Microsoft overall. I love competition. Sony forced this kind of move. Now hopefully Sony responds.
I wouldn't say a new gaming generation beggings. Article was great and it made sense.
I think people though need to see the future as gaming as choice rather than 5 to 6 years a new console with new games and control which means previous controllers won't work etc.
It's going to be simpler than that , and makes sense. 3 Xboxs all aimed at Diffrent users, each running off the one system Xbox live and all connecting to other Windows devices ... Meaning pc owners can play the way they want and still get console games , and Xbox one users won't miss a thing.
It's the same thing you see at Apple , Diffrent Laptops and desktops , all running under the same system and aimed at Diffrent users ... You dog buy a €1000 console just to surf the web , you buy the cheapest model to suit your needs.
That's the future of gaming , choice for the player , the article makes it clear , he wants 4K but not concerned about VR so a console should give him that choice.
Ms have a platform to do this and it's opened up a lot more gates for developers and players across a wider scale ... I would say this generation is evolving into a new type of gaming world rather than a new gaming platform.
I feel like this is 9th gen. ReviewTechUSA made a good point. MS and Sony may be pushing the nobody will be left behind slogan, but for how long? NX Scorpio and Neo are 9th gen consoles in my eyes.
