We Edited the Mass Effect Andromeda Dev Diary into the Trailer we Wanted

Most uninspired game of the show if you ask me.

ShadowKnight3634d ago

I hope it releases next year.

Deadlead3634d ago (Edited 3634d ago )

Hard to call it uninspired when they still haven't really shown anything. But even as a hardcore ME fan, I'm starting to lose my patience with all this bs teasing.

LaWiiG3634d ago

Are you kidding me? Tempest? Yawn. M. Shep. Leaving the franchise is a huge mistake and a wrong move for EA. I guess they love tearing apart their studios, games, AND fans

MasterD9193634d ago

You have to admit that they did take a lot of crap for ME3's ending, so for them to be careful doesn't seem so crazy.

Playable_Gamez3634d ago

The disrespect for Mass Effect is real.

jessionpc3634d ago

Uninspiring game?... D-don't you mean trailer?...

How does the fate of humanity, a new galaxy!... A new threat! With beautiful alien girls with camo skin faces and purple lipstick NOT INSPIIIRE YOOUOOUOUOU?!?!?!

WHATS WRONG WITH YOUOUOUOU?!?!?!?

Personally, after 3 years I would have liked to see gameplay...but that's just me I guess. Apparently EA thinks I wanted a Soccer playing poet instead.

Deadlead3634d ago

No gameplay for Andromeda was easily the biggest disappointment of E3 for me. I thought after all the excessive teasing, Finally there would be a true reveal.

Playable_Gamez3634d ago

Yeah. EA is just holding back Bioware at this point which is their best dev team in my opinion. I don't know what their deal is.

jessionpc3634d ago

That Asari girl reminds me of Asian girls. Like, I think they're all beautiful. Even if she might not be the most beautiful Asari ever created in their eyes, they are all perfect...

ALL PEEEERRRFEEECCTTT!

For All Its Flaws, Mass Effect: Andromeda's Approach to Romance is Something ME4 Can Learn From

While Mass Effect: Andromeda was let in several key areas, one of its approaches to romances is something Mass Effect 4 should consider revisiting.

I hope Mass Effect 4 ignores the inferior prequels and instead closely follows the far superior Mass Effect: Andromeda and Dragon Age Inquisition.

anast495d ago (Edited 495d ago )

Mass Effect 4 should just make Mass Effect 1 but better with current tech. Fans would be happy. As far as romance, they should take notes from the Witcher and Cyberpunk.

Ristul495d ago

Later Bioware games have to little build up. You can have a normal conversation and all of a sudden BAM! The character you talk to becomes super flirty.

TricksterArrow494d ago

Reminds me of Baldur’s Gate. I wanted to practice some magic and Gale made it super weird. Not even gonna mention Astarion.

gold_drake494d ago (Edited 494d ago )

iii dunno about that.

the only really great and funny dating partner, is that outlaw guy anyways haha he was funny as hell.

other than that, i found every character to be very annoying.

ZeekQuattro494d ago

Shout out to Keri the Asari reporter. Current relationship status be damned as she's game either way. Anything for a good story. 🤣

Bro missing companions: Legion, Grunt, Samara/Morinth, Javik, EDI

anast536d ago

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine536d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast536d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman536d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast536d ago

Liam lol I can't stand that dude.

it's like bitch but your shirt back on, your not blue or spikey get away from me

BioWare Thinks Mass Effect Andromeda Was Better Game Than Reception Suggested

BioWare thinks Mass Effect: Andromeda was a better game than what reception suggested; taught the studio not to shoehorn open-world without any meaningful content in it.

thorstein572d ago

I played it and it wasn't as bad as people said. Is it in the 8-10 range? No.

It's a 6-7, which means it's a solid game.

LordoftheCritics571d ago (Edited 571d ago )

Veilguard and Andromeda are of similar level to me.
6 to 6.5 ish

Though I think i enjoyed Andromeda's combat and sense of scale a little bit more.

XBManiac571d ago

Veilguard has better graphics.

neutralgamer1992571d ago

I agree with you It was a 6.5 type game. Gameplay was solid everything else was lacking. Playing at launch with all the issues was just absurd. EA could have let the developers keep patching and fix the game but they stopped just like they did with anthem. It’s crazy to think multi billion dollar publishers can’t afford to keeping patching their games get medium size developers can support the game for years

But when you have android wilson running the company what else can we expect.

OtterX571d ago

Except 6-7 doesn't translate as solid. 6 means a bit flimsy, but still good/enjoyable if you can look past the flaws. 7, a little less flimsy, and enjoyable. 8-10 would be "solid".

But I get your point. I skipped the game entirely, so I don't have an opinion on it.

H9571d ago

I played this game back when I wanted to give every game I bought a fair chance and finish it, it was the reason why I stopped doing so, god the game was bad

TheNamelessOne571d ago

I actually enjoyed Andromeda. It wasn't a 10/10, by any means, but I played it years after the fact, after a lot of patching, and I had a good time with it.

anast571d ago

Same, I enjoyed it too. I might even replay it soon.

TheNamelessOne571d ago

Might do the same, honestly. Went through the trilogy a couple months back.

raWfodog571d ago

I liked it as well, and also played it for the first time over a year after it was released. The original trilogy was a better story overall IMO but I still enjoyed Andromeda.

lellkay571d ago

The game is so unbelivably bad, it's laughable.

pwnmaster3000571d ago (Edited 571d ago )

It really wasn’t. Well for me nd I’m a big fan of the series.
Was it mass effect standard? No
But overall I thought it was a decent game.
6-7/10.

Armaggedon571d ago

You might want to try playing a truly bad game. Go boot up two worlds or gollum to get the perspective you need

MatrixxGT571d ago

Wow, two worlds…red ringed my 360.

Armaggedon571d ago

Lol. Its one of the only games that I have experienced buyers remorse with. The only one I can think of is riders Republic.

matt139571d ago

So delusional, the title was an embarrassment to the original trilogy. it’s the equivalent of 2042 to the battlefield franchise.

thorstein571d ago

2042 had a redemption arc and what exists now is a pretty good FPS.
