Shoppe Keep Review | DarkZero

Tommy Daniels: "Well, it was bound to happen. After decades of questing through dungeons, massacring great beasts, looting amazing items, and plumbing the depths of unknown mystery, you’ve grown weary of the rough-and-tumble life of the haggard adventurer. What’s a legendary Paladin (or Archmage, or Master Rogue) to do? The makers of Shoppe Keep have finally given us an answer and I’ll give you one good guess as to what it is. Shoppe Keep Review - LifeisXbox

LifeisXbox writes: The game is pretty well received on PC but this Xbox One port is simply terrible. Learning the game is hard because reading the text is near impossible, controls are confusing and it doesn’t really look exciting either. Not to mention that I simply couldn’t play the game properly because it didn’t fit my TV screen. It has a long list of bugs too, from freezes or button inputs that doesn’t work. Very disappointing, the game has promise but too much is broken.

Game was almost unplayable for me because the game doesn't scale the screen, and I have one hell of a big TV... I could not see the inventory or my currency. With no solution whatsoever.

Sounds a bit like the PS4 port - that one was a bit all over the place with controls - luckily I have a controller with paddles so I remapped most of the commands myself but the screen tearing is pretty bad. I'm hoping Shoppe Keep 2 concentrates on the console ports instead of just putting the final Early Access build on them and calling it a day whilst still updating the PC version but refusing to do the same for console.
