You damn well know who one. All these articles cause is people ranting back and forth. It's obvious who one.

This "won" and "lost" stuff is silly. Nobody wins or loses based on incomplete games. All the buzz in the world does not mean a stable game or string sales. Watch Call of Duty will outsell all of the so called winners and possibly combined. I am at the show and there are many strong games but I have seen great demos produce garbage games. Aliens: Colonial Marines ring a bell?

According to who? That screams I'm about to to bias. With that said, God of War, Horizon, and Recore top my list. We Happy Few has me intrigued as well.

This is how badly Sony won, Sony won BEFORE they brought out Kojima, showed Spiderman, and closed with the Days Gone gameplay. At that point it just wasn't even fair anymore.

MS conference was not bad, but whoever was in control of what game play was shown needs to be fired. They did show good games but bad gameplay. They could have shown better footage for scalebound and sea of thieves. Both conferences were good it's just that Sony's was prettier.

Sony... miles ahead of all competition right now, ps4 is just now reaching prime, just like ps3, Xbox looks like it's running out of steam just like 360, and Nintendo has Zelda. As an owner of all three consoles I am most disappointed by Nintendo, and if you think all os now well just because of zelda you are blinded, this game should of came out 2 freaking Christmases ago?!!

Any gamer who found something of interest. I only found 3 games of interest. Nier,Gravity Rush 2 and Zelda. I never been a big Zelda fan but BotW blew my mind so I am all in.

Why is this even a question?

Sony clearly won on VR and games, but Microsoft won on system hardware (though they didn't really show anything) especially since almost all Microsoft games are coming to PC (wish it was through Steam though) as a PS4 fan and a PC gamer, this is good news for me

Sony, Microsoft, and Ubisoft, in that order. Then comes doing chores, napping, and/or watching paint dry. Then Nintendo, then EA.

Sony hands down. They were like a boxer,showering us with hit after hit. No time to breath,just standing there and taking the abuse and loving it. It seems this generation I made the right choice and that choice was a PS4.

It was pretty clear to me that Xbox had the better showing as far as the console shows went.

Lots of great games coming soon, new XBL features, a slim console revision, and a new console coming next year.

Sony meanwhile had Horizon, which looks fantastic, then a couple games that look like TLOU ripoffs, including the complete bastardization of God of War... And a lot of their games are further off into the future than Xbox's new console.

I hate almost everything Hideo Kojima has ever made, and his trailer was the worst and weirdest thing I've ever seen, so that didn't help either. lol

Gamers won. Everyone showed some good stuff. Few exclusives from Microsoft, more than normal but some of the same old ones (Gears, Halo, Forza). Which isn't bad but they need newer IPs so it's always welcome.

Sony showed a good bit more with little focus on multiplats which is great. Sequels, reboots, and remakes of old favorites along with entirely new IPs is what gamers really want.

And Nintendo doing they're own thing showing a good amount of Zelda is what everyone wanted and looks good too. Pokemon is always welcome along with some niche games.

Ubisoft showed a good amount off Watch dogs 2 which looks loads better than the first one. For Honor is the game from them to stare at. South Park is always funny. And the rest don't look bad.

EA did what they always do and focus on already established franchises. Battlefield looks amazing, hopefully battlefront is as good or better than the last and hopefully the vr game is good.

It's official my brother inlaw is finsh with his X1 he traded it for a PS4 this morning. Probably a results from that E3 or me making fun of him all the time, I know sometimes i'm not nice. Subsequently he and his son were diehard X-box 360 fans. My nephew is so jaded he made a promise never to touch video games. As an alernative he walk around doing youtube videos of himself singing in the street when its raining. Sad, but true. In retrospect you know who won.

Once again Sony wins. They started off with GOD OF WAR 4!!!!! you know they ain't playing. After that was just straight to the point with games games games. My only problem was no The Last Of Us 2. But i know it's coming. Sony wins hands down.

I think Sony and Microsoft both had great showings, but all the other conferences on the other hand... not so great.

You VR haters gotta chill, regular games are not going anywhere there will always be lots of non vr game to choose from.
Sometimes I think people hate on VR because they know they will never be able to afford to buy it so if they hate on it enough it might go away. I think this mentality actually had an effect on 3D TV's. I FULLY believe because 3D TV's were so expensive at the time and out of the price range for most people they just hated on them because they couldn't get one. I think this had an effect on studios producing 3D Movies.
Back to PSVR,...I think this is going to be that GREAT party app when friends or relatives come to visit. What a fun ice breaker it will be to have visitors experiencing VR for the first time.
I mean,..what do you think would be more fun, getting into and showing off your VR to friends or sitting them down and trying to show them how to play Fallout? I know even the non gamer will be interested in VR but if you sat them down to explain Fallout you would only see boredom all over their faces especially after a few beers.
I don't plan on spending hours and hours playing VR everyday, just now and then to add a change of pace to my gaming time.

No "Winners" just two very different conferences which each their own announcements to celebrate. Zelda looks good, but i fear for nintendo if their next console doesn't knock it out of the park.

its interesting watching some agrees and disagrees, it would seem in general that the users of this site prefer sony about 4 to 1 or so.

I personally wasn't super impressed with Sony or Microsoft.
They had a lot of games that I wanted to play, but many were coming from outside developers. Not from those two themselves.
As far as a game directly from the hands of one of the console makers, Zelda is the one that got my highest vote.
And since I judge who won E3 by who had the game that excited me most, I'd say Nintendo took it for me this year.
It's a pity that they couldn't have done this last year; it would have been so welcome and they wouldn't have done as bad.

I think that comparing Microsoft's and Sony's E3 presentations is an "apples-to-oranges" comparison. I believe that both companies had two very different goals for their presentations. Full disclosure: I own both an Xbox One and PS4, but prefer my XB1, so I can't say there is no bias at all.

I don't think Microsoft was focused on the long-term games future for their console. They wanted to let their customers know what games can be played on their console this fall and holiday season, as well as in early 2017. Every game they showed, whether it was exclusive or not, had a release date no later than Q2 2017 (some were not specified such as Sea of Thieves, Scalebound, and State of Decay 2, but I don't think suggesting that they will be out before next E3 is a stretch). This messaging may not resonate with everyone, but I personally feel like having 4 exclusives (Gears, ReCore, Forza, and Dead Rising 4) mixed in with a bunch of multiplats in a fall/holiday season is pretty good, not to mention Halo Wars 2, Scalebound, State of Decay 2, and Sea of Thieves in early 2017. As well, Microsoft also has Gamescom to show off a few new IPs that are farther into the future (potentially). Microsoft just didn't strike me as a company this E3 that wanted to talk about games that were very far off in the future (which a new IP would be at this stage).

Sony definitely won on a presentation standpoint. Their catalog of games is undeniably impressive, and I am really glad I own a PS4. However, it cannot be argued that they did not present a short-term focus for their console (I know they have exclusives lined up for this holiday, but they did not show them in their conference). They only showed one exclusive with a 2016 release date (The Last Guardian), and they showed more of it last year than they did this year. They did show Horizon which has an early 2017 release date, so that does count in that measure. However, the majority of their exclusives were presented with no release date, and they will launch optimistically in the second half of 2017, some of them more than likely in 2018. I don't have a problem with this mode of presentation, but it seems disingenuous to compare the two conferences when they aren't trying to convey the same message.

Zelda one. Didn't care for the other games besides the last guardian the horizon didn't impress me looks like many other games that are out I like the robot things that is it resident evil looks cool and if God of War would fix the camra I'll be in but that's it

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Is this like the 10th quarter in a row they're down 33% on hardware how is that even mathematically possible. You would think their mediocrity would Plateau
