If Nintendo came out with this people would laugh. Comments to follow to follow lol

BLAKHOODe3622d ago

Not if it included a Duck Hunt VR game. God, I miss that stupid dog.

XisThatKid3622d ago

Not if they actually gave their fans what they wanted prior and a viable VR headset that actually works

C-H-E-F3622d ago

Oh my ish... If only this was possible for Nintendo and Sony to put their bad business to aside to collaborate on one project that would be elite... I loved duck hut... That and 007 on the atari was the first 2 games well and pac man were the first 3 games i played. My parents were duck hut legends haha.

jessionpc3621d ago

Don't tease me like that, jerk.

Angeljuice3622d ago

If Nintendo came up with it, it would be linked to naff cuddly toy shooting games and Nintendoids would claim that it was the best thing ever created.

Neonridr3622d ago

you mean like the Wiimotes were babies' toys but the PS Move, now that is something cool.

Angeljuice3622d ago

No the Wiimote was the greatest thing ever created but the PSmove was just a trashy nonsense copycat device.

KwietStorm_BLM3622d ago

They're both crap. I don't know what you two are arguing about.

RememberThe3573622d ago

Bocce ball was dope though...

jessionpc3621d ago

@Neonridr

You kidding? The Wii motes were fkn garbage. They BARELY worked, it wasn't until Wii Motion + was added that they became reasonably good, and they STILL weren't as good as PS Move's controllers.

PSMove was fucking glorious, and it's a damn shame it never caught on, people were so afraid of change they passed up something reallllly epic. Loved every game I played with those damn things. Fight Lights Out, and Sports were my casual drivers for months. I even worked out... HARD With Fight, and wooped bitches asses in multiplayer too.

...no... I got wooped.

Nintendo is not in a position to do this kind of stuff, that why I would laugh to the max! :D

kneon3622d ago

It's just the next iteration of last gens sharpshooter, which was excellent. My only complaint was that it was too accurate which made things too easy. They should add some heavy duty haptics to give them more realistic recoil.

Wtf is wrong with ppl? This is a great design for shooters in VR with the button and analog stick placement. To toggle movement either through motion control or with analog sticks is a great option.

Farpoint looks fantastic, the grfx are terrific and it has a Mass Effect vibe. I love what i see.

Why does the gun in the video have so much jitter?

WeAreLegion3622d ago

Because that's how much the player's hands are moving. It's not as strange when you're in VR.

Neonridr3622d ago

I have an Oculus Rift. I would be concerned if I couldn't hold my hand level without it jittering about like that.

WeAreLegion3622d ago

I have a Vive. The one with motion controllers right now. ;)

Yetter3622d ago

So the player has parkinsons? It was very reminiscent of old move demos

IamTylerDurden13622d ago

Farpoint is beautiful and intriguing, i can see the Mass Effect influence from the former EA devs.

The gun is a smart design and the in game gun model was shaky bc it matches ur EXACT movements and the person playing was obviously shaky. If anything it proves that the motion control is crazy accurate.

It was said that the video was optimized for a non-VR screen. That's my take on why it looks a little... off

Neonridr3622d ago

fair enough.. I will wait to see more on it. Just was wondering if it was a tracking issue.

Kal-V33622d ago

It looks kinda silly, but functional. I'm starting to like it.

Angeljuice3622d ago

You can't see it with the VR helmet on, why worry what it looks like?

Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.

I do like the irony of the closing paragraph though, "Why VR Adventure Games are Thriving". Really buddy?

mooreneco2133d ago

That’s because it’s his favourite VR adventure games thus far, a great game always a great game regardless of age - Half life 2/ Ocarina of time - are old but still among the greatest games of all time. The irony of it is several are from last year, depending on platform, have you even played VR?
