To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.
Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.
15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.
These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse

This article has nailed it , been saying it for 2 years now , no one noticed the difference between Xbox one and ps4 in terms of power or how the game machine has changed in it was like generation 1.5 , they both entered the HD market too late. And now with 4k TVs people can see the difference in picture quality and what the consoles are missing.
The Xbox Scorpio is not a whole new system where you will need to buy Xbox one Scorpio dics to run on it ( my guess is it will be named Xbox elite or pro ). Xbox live is the key here.
Xbox live is basically a new operating system in its own rights and will connect all the Xbox one consoles , tablets and PC gaming under one brand. Just like apple are doing, with their IOS , Mac OS , and watch os. XBox is re branding to more than one console , the Scorpio is the pro one which the delevopers can add more settings like 4K. It will be sold as Xbox , and Xbox games will run on Xbox one , one s and the Scorpio ... You then get the digital version so you can play anywhere , and on the go from laptops , to tablets to desktop. Again all under one brand powered by Xbox live. This was obvious from last year since they talked about ways to invole PC gamers , and the Windows 10 event re branded Xbox live as the connection to all devices.
This article has got it right in want the objective it, however it is not a new gaming console where you need to by new stuff just to work on it , all controllers and games will run on it. And there won't be two versions of games one for Scorpio , one for Xbox one s. It will be re branded early next year as simply Xbox ... All games will be sold as Xbox.
If people refuse to see this then they need to wake up , look around , and see what's changing. HD is no longer the norm , in fact certain that stations up across the world have stopped broadcasting in stander dentition and now offer HD and ultra HD and certain networks have stopped showing HD and only broadcasting that channel in 4K. digital downloads in music are now slowing down , it's now streaming. Gaming is not moving forward graphical terms because of restricted less powerful machines. The gaurdian game was suppose to be out on PS3 and it took 7 years because the power was shit on PS3 to run what they wanted.
PlayStation 4 are doing the same , ps4 and ps VR and Neo all under one brand - PlayStation.
Get with the times people the day of 5 years for a gaming console is over , ever year there will be a less powerful machine ( Xbox one s, which is slightly more powerful than Xbox one ) , with minor tweaks , one or 2 new features , ever 2 or 3 years ( probably 3) there will be the bigger updated to the more powerful console.
Just like apple do with phones and tablets , and ever 3 years they refresh their MacBook line up with faster graphics etc , Windows are doing the same ... All powered by Xbox live.
