This is a problem because there were holdin on winning the E3 console war after losing the sales console war, the holiday console war, the exclusives console war that M $ started.

N4G isn't showing you everything MS showed at E3. Gears of War Horde 3.0 is big. Xbox One Slim has 3 versions 500 Gb $299, 1TB $349, 2 TB $399, Xbox One Scorpio 6 teraflops comparable to new Nvidia 1070 GTX at 6.5 teraflops, Scalebound is co-op now, any game bought one Xbox One automatically free on Windows 10 which leads me to question those who say they can just buy Xbox exclusives on pc and not buy on Xbox. Why would you not get a Xbox One Slim or Scorpio and buy the games and get 2 for 1? That's ass backwards.

Yeah this conference was a letdown big time to me. Forza 3 was excellent and Sea of thieves looks like it will be fun with a group of buds. Xbox S had me sold until Scorpio was made official. It slit the S wrist for me instantly. I'll stick with my launch day Xbox until Scorpio if I get it.
They found a way to make Gears 4 look boring. Beta was a blast and I still feel like the game will be overall. Just a really boring presentation.
Recore kinda broke my heart after seeing actual gameplay. It looked average at best, which is fine, but I expected so much more.
Halo wars 2 also had one hell of a trailer, sure the game won't be half as hype as the trailer, but damn was it awesome. Looking forward to the game.
Scalebound looks ok also. For a platinum game it looks slow as hell combat wise.
Xbox one gets communities and events like on PS4 which is also good, but expected. Seeing how well communities are doing on PS4 and setting up events with players are working out, it was no way Microsoft was going to let Sony have such a community building feature without them.
Problem is all this stuff we have seen for last E3. What was new? What was fresh? We happy few looked interesting for sure, but day one? Where are the omg must haves? The oh shit next year is going to be awesome? Outside of Forza H and Sea of thieves it was disappointing.

Its not just Microsoft so far though as every conference has been pretty lacking. If Sony and Nintendos Rumored one game approach bomb too this will be the worst E3 I've ever witnessed.

Every "exclusive" is on PC as well. Kind of loses the effect of the word doesn't it? that's annoying, the reasons to get an Xbox One are slowly dwindling for myself, nothing sold me, and if anything did I could get for PC.

The problem with the MS at E3 was that they announced Xbox one S then Project Scorpio. It is very deceiving for a lot of the gamers and can be confused with what is going on. From what i read earlier most people thought the Xbox one S was the Scorpio. In my Opinion they should have waited until next year. Showing Sony this early will only make things worst for them because now this gives Sony a huge advantage and they will only put out something much stronger and there exclusives will only widened. MS has no idea what they are doing. Putting all there games on PC now is only taking away a reason to own an Xbox one now. Would you rather spend money on another console then another one next year which you really can just buy or build a High end PC for that price with ease. I would rather play all these Xbox games on PC now that is the direction MS wants plus windows 10 not the greatest of all the windows we have seen.

It's seems that MS played it safe with their presser. I mean I'm glad that they seem to be over with "taking over your living room" plan that they had and again focused on games but the presser did not have a lot of "wow" moments. A lot of games that was shown we already seen and and know about. I really thought that they were going to have NEW exclusives from their first party studios or a large 3rd party developed but we didn't. I thought they were going to play on nostalgia but they didn't. It was a safe conference by MS.

What I found amazing is that they spent the whole conference without showing ANY XBox One footage....they only showed PC/Scorpio footage and it still sucked.

Of course N4G would think this...pathetic fanboys, just game already. Stop downplaying everything with the "wrong Label" MS did EXCELLENT this year. At every fork in the road, they made the right decision.

I don't own an XBox, and I do own a super nice PC, PS4, Wii U, 3DS, and more - and I thought it was a pretty good conference. I think the announcement of both consoles was fine, as normal people will not be affected by the Scorpio during xmas shopping. All the games on Windows 10 is great for me and gamers in general.

And the Scorpio will be the most powerful console, but it won't release for 18 more months. There is NO WAY IN HELL IT WILL BE LESS THAN $600. The freaking Xbox One Elite console is $500, and based on internal specs revealed and the assumption of a minimum 1TB hard drive and other improvements, this will likely be around $600-$800.

I thought it was a solid showing, ill be building a pc later in the year and seeing horizon 3 sea of th and gears 4 makes me happy.And if you are a console gamer i am sure you were impressed,especially knowing scorpio is coming out next year.I don't see how it is bad.Will it be better than sony's?IMO it can't simply because i have to have a ps4 to play all those games,so by default son;y conference will be better even without watching it.

It was ok but all the games I was looking forward to from Xbox I have known about for a long time. I was hoping for new AAA IP announcements. The only real announcements that am happy about is Dead Rising 4 (leaked a few days ago). State of decay 2 which we have known is coming for some time.

Like the custom XB1 controllers. But to be fair to MS if noting had leaked out over the passed few days. Then I think it would of been a solid (not the best) E3 for them.

DR4 looked great, Scalebound had the chat on twitch going nuts, Sea Of Thieves had a positive reaction just looking through twitter, the state of decay 2 MMO!, Gears looked breathtaking, all the play anyway announcements, the new features coming to Xbox One.

There weren't any surprises really, as in AAA games. They did announce the new console that completely shut down the S in my opinion, why even get the S instead of waiting for the Scorpio lol? There was zero gameplay from the console and no image, just the specs. With them announcing it early Sony can take there time and have a separate conference just for the Neo and build more hype for their console since the buzz will die down for MS.

These articles are hilarious. There is literally nothing Microsoft can do that will make all these PS fanboys happy. They could announce 8 brand new AAA IPs coming out in 6 months. Lower the price of the Xbox One to $99 give away ever 360 game for free via backwards compatible and make Xbox Live free and we would still get articles like "meh, Microsoft just didn't do what they needed to do"

I'm a self-proclaimed Sony fanboy, and I thought Microsoft's conference was actually pretty darn good. They showed some great-looking games, and the fact that most of them are crossbuy/crossplay is exciting. It means I'm not left out of playing their games, since I can play them on my PC. It was about time that Microsoft took advantage of having the premier home computing game platform, it expands their gaming portfolio considerably.

Dead Rising 4,Halo Wars 2 for Win10,Scalebound and Forza Horizon 3 sure got my attention. It was a good conference.

They promised a focus on games and new ip and we didn't really get any of that.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
