I might just go FUME hyper on bosses. I wish the attack speed was just a bit faster, but you can destroy chunks of their life bar on NG7 with the right buff combo. I will need to rearrange how I react and counter or exploit boss window openings for such a change, though.

It takes a good hand to use it. When the game launched, I used parry knife and FUME and it was such a beastly combo with hornet. I don't pvp too much, so this is just from a pve guy. DS3 does get me out into the pvp scene somewhat, though. I don't generally like pvp in games, but this one has it's own way of pulling me in.
Parry enemies with the combo makes even chunky health enemies go down with 2 button presses.

Am talking about PVE here not PVP and i didnt really play PVP that much. Most of my time with the game was just the campaign.
