amazing how i've known about Cross Network play since Shadowrun.

Sony wouldn't show up for Xbox's presentation they would simply put a ps logo on the big screen they use.
Just like how MS wont be seen on Sonys presentation stage.

It's not even logical, so why would i fuel this shady reporter's attempt to bring clicks to his sight. i would understand them saying that the crossplay between sony and ms is a go, but to say that one of them is jumping on the stage of the other, nah not happening. if it was. it wouldnt definitly be MS standing up on Sonys as you know, 20million more people will be watching Sony's over MS, and if MS wanted to get that good boy image out to the public that would be the way to do it.

its the conditions to the yes. if MS as they have stated, want people using their network why would sony agree to that, instead have people use the network they play on initially.

Ms is banking everything on their "active xbox live accounts" if they required peopled to sign up for that, than all of a sudden they are gonna twist that into saying they are doing better than Sony because all of a sudden if people were wanting to play rocket league against Xbox players they have to sign up for Xbox live, increases their total users exponentially.

It's Shady and wrong. just let us use our own systems network and let the devs decide if they want to incorporate both networks.

This isnt personal its unethical. i enjoy alot of games on Xbox, i dont own one myself, but my brother does.

You dont see Ferrari asking every other vehicle owner to sign up for their newsletters to give them the privileged of driving on the same road.

You dont see America force the rest of the world to accept US currency as their own to continue trade deals with them.

You dont see Sony requiring the pc players to set up PSN accounts to play rocket league with ps4 players.

There is no problem when MS says yes to unrestricted cross-play. If they put any restrictions on it (which was how it sounded to me at least) I find it normal for the other parties to be hesitant and reply in 'lawyer' talk because they need to check the exact wording MS used.

I'm all for cross-play but I can understand Sony's hesitation if MS forces restrictions on it.

You are an Xbox fan so you might find the idea silly, but what if there's something simple in the wording like that PS4 players will appear as being on XBL and not the other way around, and MS hands out a library to devs so they can add functionality so that games then use XBL ways of inviting players. Sounds great on paper then, right? Only downside is that a game can't use PS4's own ways of inviting players but uses MS's way, since you can invite any PSN player still, no worries!
Then 6 months later MS's PR department churns out something like:
Most active players for Battlefield 1 are on XBL!
(because they also count the PSN players on THEIR network but not the other way around).

Then Sony realises it was a bad business decision to immediately say yes. So yeah, I understand a careful answer until they've investigated it further...

great, then lets get this out in the open instead of staying silent about it. no games that allow it to me means sony does not want to partake. it would be in sony's best interest to say no thanks, microsoft has some restrictions/policies. but they are silent, that to me speaks volumes much more than hypotheticals you speak of.

just stop. does sony release how many people play on steam when they did cross play? so lets be a little less biased and a lot more optimistic ok?
