One of our earliest memories of gaming is taking command of the righteous GDI (Global Defence Force, for those who have not done their service) and fighting the evil Brotherhood of Nod. Being young in the 90s meant our platform of choice was either the PC, or of course, the PlayStation 1, in all of its retro glory. Command and Conquer served as an introduction to the world of strategy gaming, and would start us off on what would become one of our favourite genres for years to come.

Command and Conquer mods are overhauling the classic RTS games Red Alert and Tiberian Sun ahead of a live celebration event for Westwood’s strategy series

"In case you have missed it, "ModDB has just released their “2020 Mod of the Year” awards final top 10 list, and what an awesome list it is! And with that said, a big congratulation to everyone who made it into the final top 10 list" - Jonas Ek, TGG.
I guess they didn't sell well enough last gen :/
At least there's still some turned based strategy games instead
