Microsoft said this was impossible because the 360 isn't a computer exactly. And you cannot connect to the Internet with it. I don't have the article with me, sorry.

He means to play pirated games. It's already been hacked in the sense that he stated and the PS3 has yet to be hacked. The easy way to stop something is to stop access to it but the best way to stop something is to create counter measures to prevent it. The latter is the best way because it does not limit the users who have good intentions. By the way you can't hack a system with only game saves. The PS3 and the 360 both use a form of emulation in which only the low level functions have access to important data. The 360s fault was the third party drives which did not have any kind of protection for firmware flashing.

zo6_lover27: People found a way to rip PS3 games a few days or possibly a week or two after the launch of the system. Apparently hackers have just recently found a easy way to play them back on a PS3.

The PS3's BD-Java exploit is kinda worthless to the homebrew scene. It's nothing compared to the PSP's homebrew. Very very very limited to what you can achieve. Currently there is still no way to run unsigned apps taking advantage of the PS3's hardware specs even with a modchip installed. The BD-J apps are running off a whole different layer OS. Apps that are theoretically possible to run on BD-J Bluray 2.0 players as well.

And about playing back the ripped BR games. That's complete bull. What the guy did was install Warhawk on the HDD (which you could already do) and cloned the PS3's HDD to another identical HDD. He simply swapped the original hard drive with the cloned hard drive when booting up the game and claims he successfully installed a working backup. LOL. His method is the same as not swapping at all. Of course it'll work. LOL. Trust me, you won't hear from that SkaterFU guy for a while again.

But they still can't make it run, which has been extremely aggravating for the hacker community.

This is a terrible point. Everybody can play a game online and offline with any non-HD cables. Some people CANNOT play online without a wi-fi adapter.

How does that make HD cables "miles more useful than wi-fi?" And I mean MILES. Don't argue that it's a bit more useful. I mean, you need to convince someone that needs wi-fi that they can't POSSIBLY live without these HD cables, and that they should forget about the necessary wi-fi that they need, since these cables are better than online gameplay, by MILES.

Oh, and keep in mind that an HDMI cable costs $5.

Plus, Infinite Undiscovery did not live to my expectations, Last Remnant is coming to the PS3 in due time, and there's no indication of whether Star Ocean is exclusive to the 360 or not.

One of the main selling points for this generation is HD graphics. How is paying for rumble more justifiable than MS selling expensive hard drives, than don't affect your gaming experience in the same way? The only answer I can come up with is that most of you guys that disagree with me are PS3 owners and do anything to protect it.

Where did you get time to break down the Xbox Pricing on subatomic level? Talk about over analyzing a bit.

that "security" chip Microsoft added has only one purpose. To force you to buy the microsoft Xbox branded accessory. That's why regular hard-drives can't work. What's more it only adds about $5 to the price. Custom chips are very cheap nowadays.

Microsoft is making massive profits by forcing people to buy Microsoft Xbox360 brand accessories and now they're trying to convince people that it's not because of greed and that it costs almost as much as a PS2 to add that little chip.

If you think the anti-MS articles are bad now, you should have seen the Anti-PS3 articles back in late 2006 through mid-2007.

I can't even begin to describe how many "PS3 is just a blu-ray trojan horse", or "Sony forces features on you, where Microsoft makes it your CHOICE" articles were floating around. If you listened to all of the anti-PS3 doom and gloom back then, then it would seem like the PS3 was DOA.

And honestly, what was so anti-MS about this article? This author took valid complaints about 360 accessories and tried to spin it in Microsoft's favor.
