The open beta for Paragon was held this weekend and anyone was allowed in as long they had previously signed away their email address to Epic’s marketing department. The game is slated for release in June and is Epic Games’ attempt to break into the MOBA genre. The game is interesting because the developers are attempting to make a genuinely competitive game where PC and PS4 players can face off. Unfortunately for Epic, it just isn’t as viable to play and compete on PS4 with a DualShock.

Omeda Studios CEO states it was a "pretty big shock" when Epic killed Paragon, and explains why they're making its spiritual successor.
Epic Games and Microsoft team up for free Fortnite

Until recently, the position of "richest man in the state of North Carolina" didn't seem like a competitive one. James "Jim" Goodnight, billionaire software developer and co-founder of SAS Institute, had held the position comfortably for several years. Reports published early in April seemed to indicate that Goodnight, whose fortune is currently valued at $6.5 billion, would retain control of the title in 2021, despite developer Epic Games outperforming SAS among North Carolina-based businesses.
Do people still fall for his "I'm for the everyday man" image?
Or have people finally started to wake up to his game. And before anyone says it, no I'm not saying that because of his wealth
Goodie for him. It’s obvious not enough wealth yet otherwise he’d back off on his crusade against Apple.
They just really need to implement more communication options for PS4 players. PC players can voice chat with PC players, AND also use the keyboard to type messages to both PS4 and PC players. PS4 players on the other hand are only able to select from a small handful of pre-baked messages in order to communicate. I think thats the biggest problem, as you just can't communicate well enough to be an efective team.
The Author really should have played more than a weekend and did some research about the game. Since when in MOBAs could you use control more than 1 unit? since when was having 5 abilities not enough. and if the author did research on Paragon, he'd know that Epics main priority is a fun game for the gamers, with Esports taking a step back.
it seemed to me that he just wasn't very good at the controller scheme of things, which isn't a problem, but i've had access to Paragon since it was first announced as a closed access alpha only, i've never had an issue with the Controller set up, actually prefer it to the kb/m. i have over 2 days clocked in it and not even half way to master level. ranked in the top 15%, im on a regular taking out PC players.
I auctally play the game and love it.
That headline tho xD
