The next Player 2 E3 2016 predictions article is live and this time it is Sony's turn under the crystal ball.
Naughty Dog was reportedly divided on the controversial fate of Joel in The Last of Us Part 2 during the game's development.
I think it was good decision, if he was still alive, he would have been a mascot just like Kratos, drake and many others. These old dudes gotta die for new characters to take center stage with their own storyline. They keep dragging the emotional baggage into many sequels and eventually the story just turns into absolute shit show.
Honestly as much as I loved the game, they could have just not killed him off.
I get it creator vision and all but killing a character that made you millions is just wrong imo. At least have him go down fighting.
Former Naughty Dog artist Gabriel Betancourt explains why the "sweet spot" for game teams is under 200 people and how AAA "factories" kill creativity.
There’s definitely some truth to this. When teams get too large, coordination starts to outweigh creativity—layers of approval, risk aversion, and tight deadlines can turn bold ideas into “safe” ones. Keeping a team under ~200 people sounds ideal for maintaining clear communication and a shared vision. That said, massive AAA projects also come with huge technical demands and expectations, so scaling up isn’t always avoidable. The real challenge is figuring out how to keep that small-team creativity alive inside big studio structures.
Sean writes: "Last month’s Remnant update caused much hilarity as you tooled with your newfangled gravity guns and customisable exocraft, transporting precarious industrial cargo across uneven terrain in a classic risk vs. reward fight. Our latest update is a whole different beast."
Bloodborne 2 would make me hype as hell, here's hoping. :)
Sony will announce a new IP called Unstarted which hasn't begun development yet..
Main focus is VR with more content to show and offer in the future. More updates on Shenmue 3, FF15, FF7, Horizon. No man's sky also making a final appearance explaining the final date.
Maybe details of a future upgraded console but I have a feeling you will see that at the Playstation experience
Yea this time again when some people go crazy with 'Christmas lists' like Bloodborn 2,TLOU 2 etc and then go 'Im disappointed' when 3 or 4 megaton games get revealed. Im expecting great things from this E3 but we all know there are many other shows where they usually spread the reveals.
From Sony, Dead Dont Ride, GOW 4 and the usual unexpected megaton will make me happy. Also a lot of gameplay from the already announced games Besides a lot of new demo on the floor including PSVR of course.
I hope for an announcement for Sucker Punch's new game. If the rumors of a Spiderman game are true, then I'm going to scream really loud.
