I skipped entirely on buying it because it lacked anything to draw me in. Having spent over 1k hours in TF2 back in the day, Overwatch simply felt shallow and unsatisfying for me. No twist on the game modes, maps that look good, but pass on as "eh", the entire loot system for which I didn't care. I can, however, see where the appeal comes from. I'm curious how much it'll stay alive.

Same here, playing as the various heroes is fun but what's the point when everything is random? I prefer playing as Mercy and should be rewarded with content designed for her, not for Tracer. Right now its all about getting all the achievements.

I disagree. Overwatch is far better than Team Fortress in pretty much every aspect.

Im surprised a game so bare is getting such high reviews, while other great games get crushed because of "lack of content"

I agree, the gameplay is excellent but Blizzard seems to be getting a pass here. Maybe people are seeing something I'm not, but I just can't see why it's getting perfect scores.

I've been playing it already for longer than most other games I've bought as it's fun and quite addictive. It's not bare, it's extremely replayable with the work Blizzard put into balancing, servers, characters etc. They have created a very good multiplayer experience and I don't feel ripped off at all.

My friends convinced me to pick this up. I can't remember ever being so hooked on a competitive FPS.I love it ...I can't complain. Dark Souls 3 , Uncharted 4 ...now this !!!! What an mazing year so far for gaming.

When the two or three week mark is up and my friends stop playing it and go back to a real MP team game like rocket league, i can't wait to ask them how that wasted $60 feels.

Considering Blizzards rep im sure youll be waiting a long time to ask that question

Nintendo Switch 2 Drops Must-Play Free FPS You Can Enjoy From Today

In 2023, developed by Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch 2 was released, which was basically a big, glorified update of the original game that launched in 2016. Now, it’s simply reverted to being called just Overwatch, which is probably for the best.

The second iteration of Overwatch was released on the original Nintendo Switch, and while it’s still an enjoyable game with cross-play/progression functions, it’s still lacking in terms of performance and visuals, compared to its PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S counterparts. Well, it was.

As of today, the second iteration of Overwatch is natively available on the Nintendo Switch 2, just in time for Season 2: Summit.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Overwatch will have increased resolution both in handheld and docked modes, enhanced textures and lighting, up to 60 frames-per second, improved audio and more.

Blizzard is readying a patch to address the issue that the game is still running in Switch 1 build and just 30 fps.

Neonridr26d ago

you'd think they'd test it before pushing it live, lol.

that being said, clearly it's not running as intended.

They know it for sure. Maybe they didn't finish optimizing the game by the targeted release date. That's why they released the Switch 1 30fps version first. XD
