never understood why minor delays are a big deal to people, it's a few more weeks, the game isn't going to be stuck in development hell for years!

I'm really glad as I had it pre ordered but am due to be away until the Monday after it was coming out this is much better... For me and no doubt the game as a whole.

If I can wait for FFXV for all of these years, two more months for No Man's Sky will be no problem. Disappointed for sure but it'll give me time to catch up on some more games.

People claim that it keeps getting delayed.. but isn't this really only the first delay? The only official release date ever given was the June 21st date. Before that it was purely speculation that it was going to release in 2015, before holidays etc. etc.
Hello Games and Sony only officially announced that one date of June 21st which would make this the first and only delay so far technically... people need to stop with the butt hurt "It keeps getting delayed"... wrong.. this is the first official delay.

I needed extra time to finish up several games this is perfect for me, plus I rather they delay then release it early and have a lot of issues. I am sure many people will whine because that is their hobby these days

so would expect delay in the game.

for sure nothing is going to be like it once it gets release.
there might be some game bugs as we expect in all ps4 games
which is very common now
as they want to push out broken games

but with this little gem they taking there time.

but hopefully it will do well with the sales which i think it will
they are going to have one big hit on there hands.

What a fkt up friday for me. No Mans Sky delayed.... if Sean was smart. He knew that this game would be big and that the fans would go crazy. Why not hire more people ?? it will cost him but with all the fans willing to buy this game i hardly see any loss.... what a shame

Delaying an ambitious title is hardly an issue. I'll retain faith that it's in the game's best interest.

August 10 in Europe is fine by me. I respect devs who takes their time to polish their games in order to deliver us something truely special. Example: Uncharted 4

Not bad according to me, extra testing, more fixing, getting rid of bugs and so on. I'm a bit tired of seeing patch after patch, just to fix broken parts of the game and many times without adding anything extra, just because they wanted to release something as soon as possible. Melting textures, NPCs trapped in the environment, quests/missions bugged, savegames destroyed, crashes for bad programming and so on. I remember the old times, when the consoles weren't connected to the internet and the programmers were forced to make an almost perfect game because you couldn't update it. There were a lot less of these bugs and problems...

Im fine with that, especially since it'll give me more time to play mirrors edge and the u4 multiplayer

Even if this game released in 2 years, its going to be a let down due to the hype that Hello Games has made for it.

With how spoiled we are as gamers these days...always having great games to play....I'm usually "in favor" of games getting delayed. Well....at least to the point that I would like them to release a great product, and if the game needs a delay to do that....then I am all for it. So hopefully this allows Hello to polish some rough edges and release a great game.

This game is looking good, but I do worry if the initial price will not see too many sales.

Tbh this game looks like a fucking space exploring simulator. Never worth the money.

Dammit. I can handle a game like Uncharted 4 getting delayed because you can be fairly certain it's gonna be good, or most other games because you at least know generally what you're gonna get when it's finished. What makes the delays for this game especially painful is that it has the potential to be amazing and the potential to be kinda crappy, I just want to know which it is. I could handle waiting to play it if I just knew it was worth waiting for. I know there's no way around it is the game needs more work but still, it's hard to keep the excitement about it going for this long while not being sure if you're just setting yourself up for major disappointment.
