It should have been $30 accross the board at most.

evergrace3622d ago

I believe the price was high, because the next upcoming characters and maybe new maps will be free. This is a good idea, because the community will not be divided. The best strategy by Blizzard for the good of overwatch community.

nowitzki20043622d ago

Its a good price if thats true. I hate buying DLC and dont do it 99.9% of the time so Im usually left out. Only bought DLC for COD4, WAW, BF3, and most recently RL.

roland823622d ago

I would rather pay full price and get all the dlc for free

Erik73573622d ago

That $60 dollar price tag also includes dlc

NickBiazzo12313622d ago

Thanks for the heads up! Sucks PC players pay less!! :(

evergrace3622d ago

Actually not, on playstation you can game share with your friend and pay half the price. I have done it a lot of times. On steam you can also gameshare but you cant both play the shared game at the same time.

@Ysmir

'Not on hardware ;-)'

Because the hardware can play games at more than 30 fps ;)

Unspoken3621d ago

Yeah, not on hardware because PC hardware is vastly superior, hence the higher cost.

So, instead of being sad that you have to pay more, you're sad because others pay less. Humanity, everybody!

nowitzki20043622d ago

Look at this weekly sale.. I love being a PC gamer.

You can't resell pc games though. But yes pc has some crazy game prices.

Ysmir67233621d ago

@b3ast I sold my 980 for 600 euros and got an evga 1080 for only 450.I definately, for the quality and performance, spend less on hardware.

nowitzki20043620d ago

No need to resell. Its nice to pay half the price and actually have a huge collection of games. I hate that sold any game ever or console, wish I still had the PS2 or SNES with all those games that I used to have.

The biggest difference being game pad vs keyboard mouse.

Ysmir67233621d ago

And medium and ultra settings...And extremely better performance(1440p 125fps avg) on my setup.

poseiden213622d ago

OW will be dead on consoles in 6 months. PC will last years.

NegativeCreepWA3622d ago

Sadly this is why I bought the PC version, even though I have more friends on consoles.

Nintendo Switch 2 Drops Must-Play Free FPS You Can Enjoy From Today

In 2023, developed by Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch 2 was released, which was basically a big, glorified update of the original game that launched in 2016. Now, it’s simply reverted to being called just Overwatch, which is probably for the best.

The second iteration of Overwatch was released on the original Nintendo Switch, and while it’s still an enjoyable game with cross-play/progression functions, it’s still lacking in terms of performance and visuals, compared to its PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S counterparts. Well, it was.

As of today, the second iteration of Overwatch is natively available on the Nintendo Switch 2, just in time for Season 2: Summit.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Overwatch will have increased resolution both in handheld and docked modes, enhanced textures and lighting, up to 60 frames-per second, improved audio and more.

Blizzard is readying a patch to address the issue that the game is still running in Switch 1 build and just 30 fps.

Neonridr12d ago

you'd think they'd test it before pushing it live, lol.

that being said, clearly it's not running as intended.

repsahj12d ago

They know it for sure. Maybe they didn't finish optimizing the game by the targeted release date. That's why they released the Switch 1 30fps version first. XD
