The second Xbox 360 revealed: codename Zephyr

Engadget landed pictures of what appears to be the second Xbox 360 -- the Xbox 360 v2, if you will -- codenamed Zephyr. (The original Xbox 360 was codenamed Xenon.) The long rumored about and awaited update to the console won't just feature a new, cooler 65nm processor, it's also finally added an HDMI port for full digital 1080p pleasure, as well as a 120GB drive, just what the doctor ordered. The 120GB drive may or may not come bundled with the kit, we don't yet know, just as we also don't yet know how much a Zephyr 360 is going to run. But the Xbox insider said we'd be able to get them "soon."

However until we get the official word from Microsoft this story should be treated as a rumor.

Thanx M$! I will be buying 2 of them when it`s released! One will be used in my 2007 escalade!

Gears7083d ago

I have been waiting for this, I am getting one as soon as they are released and using my other for music and dvd movies and of course porn.

BlackCountryBob7083d ago

If thats real then I want M$ to offer a free swap to anyone who bought a 360 in the first year to the new spec model, adding features just aint right and M$ should recognise that the cost of replacing consoles will be much lower than the cost of the negative publicity they would generate by not giving replacements! Fanboys make a lot of noise when angry!

Buying a DS then they released the DS Lite, what about the slimline PS2 with added ports? They aren't screwing YOU, you can still play games and movies like anyone else.

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
