DOOM - Skewed 'n Reviewed

Gareth at Skewed and Reviewed has posted a positive review for the latest DOOM game. He loved the graphics and action but noted some retro online play, a few minor crashes, and repetitive arena battles.

I thought the game would be worse, but it's actually quite good!

When you consider they had one well into development, and scrapped it to start over it is pretty solid. The only thing is through 4 games and the map packs, and expansions, it has remained the same story and they do not have much continuation.

Thank you. I really liked it but there were a few times where I wondered what the developers were thinking with some of the battles in terms of making very hard bosses and not giving you enough ammo to make a serious battle without doing risky stuff like going all in point blank with your last weapon of impact shot hoping you stagger it enough to drop some ammo. But I survived despite some cursing along the way.

hate the mp, love single player and snapmap. Playing custom creations is top notch

Am I wrong that Co-Op the campaign would be awesome.

Simon's Quest is better than Symphony.

If you're gonna troll, at least make a legitimate attempt.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.

Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.

That's a pretty fucking great list

The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.

After watching Scavengers Reign? The answer is unequivocally yes. I really want something out of left field but I think people are too afraid to shake things up.

It's what I love about Shadowrun and Black Mirror. Love, Death, and Robots proved that there's an audience for stuff that doesn't fit the mold.

Weird games in general we don't get enough of, we need more games like Katamari and Mr domino, things like that
