It’s time for Video Game Christmas again…also known as The Electronics Entertainment Expo or E3. Every year, the video game industry descends on the west coast to show the retailers and press what they have in store for the rest of the calendar year and beyond. This year, Microsoft will hold a live press conference on Monday, June 13th at 12:30pm eastern. The writers at Xbox Enthusiast decided to make our pre-E3 predictions for what we think might be shown. Let’s start with 1st Party content coming from Microsoft.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

LucasArts gave Jango Fett his own game in 2002, and it pulled Star Wars into a much dirtier, rougher, and more interesting corner of the galaxy.

Dear team,
Xbox has always been different.
We started with a simple idea. Games should bring people together through shared experiences. That led to the first Xbox in 2001, Xbox Live in 2002, and new ways to connect, from friends lists and achievements to parties and play across devices. Today, Xbox reaches over 500 million players around the world, with some of the most important franchises in entertainment.
If they go back to exclusive games it at least shows that they are finally getting it. They would be turning down immediate money for something that will potentially workout in the long term.
Only issue is they've already opened Pandora's box. A lot of their base has moved to PC or jumped to PS. So will be a long road to get back on track.
We have been saying this from day one exclusives are a must if you are going to be selling hardware look at Nintendo and Sony before Jim Ryan. That's the proven formula. You had some that were deluded and blinded by loyalty accepting that multiplat was the future and that MS was merely getting ahead of where the industry was headed, but at least they can finally see the light and agree with what everyone has been saying for a decade+
Despite all of that, it's clear that Microsoft's Xbox division is broken beyond repair.
Love these prediction articles. So fun to speculate and read other opinions on what may happen.
I personally think MS will release a new console to go along with the supposed new controller. I personally feel that MS want to put the X1 behind them and want a console that is equal or more powerful than PS4 that can take full advantage of their dx12 they have.
New Battletoads, I for one wish this is true but so far we haven't gotten any despite the many, many teases from the head honchos, the appearances in other games I still think we won't get it. But we should especially with how well received Ratchet was, I think a return of this done right would be spectacular.
I also think MS will announce that going forward all first party games will be on PC and all will be cross buy and have cross play. Not only that but all games will be able to stream to that new Surface phone which is rumored to be a beast and have controller support.
MS's partnership with Oculus doesn't make a whole lot of sense unless the VR device will be available and compatible with the new Xbox system. Maybe the new Xbox would finally make use of the supposed powerful Kinect device with this Oculus VR device.
Young conker :)
Oculus Rift X comes to Xbox One? Microsoft better upgrade their Xbox hardware if this happens.
If MS going through all this fuss about Battletoads and Banjo kazooie
i now believe Sony will announce Crash this e3
hopefully Jax and Daxter announced later on this year at CES
it's all a game. MS will announce battletoads and banjo kazooie first.
Sony hit back with Crash and maybe a surprise jax and daxter or another well known classic.
behind closed doors MS and Sony shaking each other hands at the bank.
