It's funny b/c I am an mmo/rpg, Dark Souls kinda gamer and I adore Uncharted. It is one of the best IPS ever, and I can't wait for this.

Hats off...GotY. And if it's able to mix the seriousness of its finality with what it has already established, it will probably be better than TLoU, which is astonishing for a 4th entry.

Does it have constant shooting, average platforming, easy puzzles, and an extremely predictable and uninteresting story like Uncharted 3 had? Because if so, then no, it is not the best game ever created. 1 and 2 were amazing, but 3 was so disappointing. =/

I'll believe it when I play it. I wasn't overly impressed by the previous Uncharted games when I picked up the Nathan Drake Collection.

Best game ever? For whom? Certainly not for me. I'm going to get 50 disagrees for this because of the Sony hivemind here, but I don't care for any Uncharted game (aside from Uncharted 2's multiplayer). Naughty Dog is a former shell of itself to me.

I'll give this article a 10/10 because the guy who wrote it had me on the edge of my seat just from reading it. I'm not even gonna say ' can't wait for Tuesday ' because Monday at 9pm PST a majority of us will already have it. So stoked

I'm seeing a couple things like this said. I couldn't be any happier. There are reviews flat out saying it's the best game this generation. Best of PS4. Best Uncharted ever. It's hard to ignore. I'm personally astonished. I mean I expected greatness but this is still a pleasant surprise. Better than I even imagined.

I do think " the best game ever created " gets thrown around to easily though, maybe it is, maybe it isnt, theres so many contenders for that, The Last of us for starters, i would put The Witcher 3 up there as well. Also growing up, Zelda Ocarina of Time was probably the best game ever back then, and to this day is one of my faves. I wouldnt jump the gun straight away and call a game "the best ever" just yet, but the reviews scores are getting me excited to play this masterpeice thats for sure..

Yay more hyperbole! This is why all the other Naughty Dog games let me down, they can't possibly live up to the hype the media and other players have built up around them.

While I have to say that the reviewer is entitled to his opinion, this headline and story seem a little too click-baity. This isn't to say that Uncharted 4 isn't the greatest game of all time; it very well could be. But that's an awful steep hill to climb and to say that this is better than many other, iconic games comes across as hyperbolic.

There are generation-defining games. Games like Super Mario Bros 3, Final Fantasy VII, Skyrim, the list goes on. All of these games contributed to the cultural Zeitgeist beyond the gaming community. Very few games actually achieve that kind of impact and ultimately that's the litmus test for games that are destined to be considered the greatest. Will Uncharted 4 pass that test? Only time will tell.

I think it's important to note that there will undoubtedly be some person out there who will say that Uncharted 4 can't be considered the greatest of all time, let alone a generation, because it's just iterative of the original game and does little to innovate. To that I say almost all of the games that are considered to be the greatest of all time are sequels. In fact, most games that are commonly found on any list of greatest games are sequels. So you can throw that argument right out the window. But there is an important question found in that false argument: what's more important? Iteration? Or innovation?

Given what we know about the gaming industry, innovation only succeeds when allowed to iterate on itself. Sure, the first game might be really good but when you can iterate on the formula, you distill the essence of the experience into a potent concentration. So given this, I would say it's very possible for Uncharted 4 to ascend to the ranks of the all-time greats. And it's about damn time this generation has a title that can lay claim to the status. I was beginning to worry and had almost written off this weak generation altogether. Well done, Naughty Dog.

We'll see soon enough. People said the same about TLoU, and while it was a very good game, it's definitely not one I rave about as one of my top favorites. So I'm a little skeptical of anyone making such a bold claim.

But, you never know. I haven't played a Uncharted before. Golden Abyss doesn't really count.

Every time ND releases a game they reset the benchmark, they raise the bar to hights that is damn near impossible to reach, luckily Sony has the most talented devs. I expect a game like GOW 4 to come in with a strong challenge.

Best game ever created isn't a cut and dry statement. But as a gamer tgat plays mmos/rpgs and love Souls games etc. I love Uncharted, and this looks to be their crowning achievement this far.

So, maybe it is the best game ever made, as far as its ability the blend storytelling, action, environment, and gameplay. I couldn't really argue myself.

I'm pro PS4, but to crown it as "Uncharted 4 is simply the best game ever created" is ridiculous, and kind of pisses me off.

OK... I'm really glad they took the time to delay and perfect the ending they wanted but to say "it's the best game ever created" is ridiculous. "best game ever" is super personal and is based over many many years for each individual. I plan on buying uncharted 4 but come on, lets be realistic.

Yes of course an Uncharted game the best game ever created and before Uncharted 4 Wii Fit was the best game ever according to this guy. I heard a lot of the same praises for this IP when Uncharted 2 was released, it got so much hype and best game ever blabla 11 out of 10 Reviews and than when I finally played it for myself I could not believe it how shallow and boring the gameplay of this IP actually was.

But 1 thing was really good about Uncharted 2 this game really woke me up about Metacritic and what kind of scum Metacritic is, I completly stopped buying my games according to Metacritic ratings and I just buy games nowadays based on my own feelings and I have way way way less mispurchases ever since.

The character models are not good. The movement physics looks like it was from 10 years ago. Not impressed. And not a good example of what can, or more importantly, should be done in 2024. However, this not targeted for that, but is a hobby project of a single developer, and in this respect, it is good.

As a hobby its a great job. In my opinion though the character models are odd. Nate seem a little..."happy"

As a one man showing, it's impressive. Interesting that a level designer could put this together alone, which raises one question for me:

Did they use AI to help with this?

This was really cool, really makes me miss the uncharted games

Fascinating concept. If anything, it made me appreciate just how skilled the Naughty Dog is with animations, etc.

If one person can make this why are game budgets so high!
