Explore Gradius new and old in this new collection
Its nice they are making this origins collection. Which leads me to thinking they will have another that will include 4, 5, Galaxies, Gaiden and Rebirth.
Rewind, save states, god mode, buncha extras. They’ve got my attention! Haven’t played Life Force in forever
It will be available from Limited Run Games as a physical release, nice!. I want it in physical but the bad part is waiting for it to ship from LRG. https://limitedrungames.com...

"The Contra series is poised to make a comeback thanks to fan favorite-developer WayForward and Konami. Contra: Operation Galuga is a 2.5D reimagining of the original Contra arcade/NES game that will launch in early 2024. The remake looks to retain the series' traditional cooperative run-and-gun action, and we're all about it. How close will Operation Galuga be to the original game, though? Let's compare screenshots and see!" says Co-Optimus.
I am all over this
I wonder if the extra lives code will be included…

Despite hardware limitations, intrepid NES developers were able to make a massive variety of epic shoot-em-ups with gobs of enemies loosing salvoes of missiles and bullets at a hero and—magically—the system handled it all like a champ. Shmups on the NES rarely even experience any slowdown. Amazing!
Gun.Smoke was what I always played. Became too much at times with all the enemies and things flying at you from every direction, fun game though.
Crisis force, Gradius 2, over horizon, the three best shooters on the NES for me personally.
